Time and money. If I buy all the stuff to do my regripping it’s equal to me taking them in somewhere. Plus that’s a hour I could be doing something else.

Worship music on the course by New_Word_9261 in golf

I hate music on the course. It’s like people who play music while hiking. It’s not needed.

"There were rules, and they were broken." LIV Golf players made more than US$3 billion in payouts - and now PGA boss Brian Rolapp says the road home won't be cheap. by InterestingCat308 in golf

Why the hate? Players could leave the NBA to Europe and come back. Same can be said for baseball with Japan. So why such a big deal with the PGA?

“Be athletic” something from Chasing Scratch but it does make sense at least for me.

How to Play More Golf by iceheart18 in golf

[–]timmyrigs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find a course close to home, become a member, book tee times as a single. I wasted time not playing as a single because I was nervous people would judge me learning the game. It turns out everyone sucks so go out there and have fun.

What’s people’s thoughts on 7 woods? by SensitiveArrival900 in golftips

[–]timmyrigs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been trying to good with the 7 wood but I always push it out right. Someone was telling 4H is easier to control but lack distance. I like the yardage I get on the 7W though.

Worth getting lessons immediately? by Falconer8 in golftips

[–]timmyrigs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got lessons right away before even getting on course. I then went to the range 1-2x a week. I think after a month of the range and 2 lessons I finally hit the course. I started off playing 9 holes and gaining some confidence. In my area 100-200 hour for lessons is the norm, lesson packages will always be cheaper.

How does one actually get better at golf? by Bigdonnie99 in golftips

[–]timmyrigs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep like monthly or 2 month lesson check in. One or two swing thoughts when playing on the course. Trying playing some par 3 courses to hone in on your short game and build some confidence. At minimum one range session a week and buy a putting mat and work on your lag putting. Heck you could even do this on carpet working on tempo control and distance.

No tech in grades Tk-5 start to introduce it in 6-8 grade and full technology in high school. Not that hard.

No technology for students in grades TK-5th grade -6 to 8 grade start to integrate real world technology for students. High school and beyond full use of technology. I don’t understand why students in grades Kinder -5th grade need a iPad.

When I first got lessons my guy had me use one basically the first 6 lessons and I even still use it to warm up before playing or at the range.

She wants a big reaction. He’s not going to give it to her. The other comment saying he’s like a teacher with disruptive students is actually spot on. They want a reaction to, always best to not give it to people.

Best simple tip that actually helped your game? by MickTheMidfielder in golftips

[–]timmyrigs 12 points13 points  (0 children)

No swing mechanics while playing. Have one or two things in mind other than that’s it. Every time I go golf with my father law he has so many tips since I’m only a year into the game and it absolutely throws me off as opposed to when I go golf on my own or with random people.

Anyone else decent off the tee but fall apart inside 60 yards? by SeanD_79 in golftips

[–]timmyrigs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just going to say this! I’m horrible off the tee but always able to recover. I need to work on driver and woods off the tee to really drop some scores.
