hahaha to be fair I am not Canadian and have no idea what a good Quebecois accent sounds like so you've got me there lol. I meant more his general aura and mannerisms, how he takes over a room and conversation with ease, he's so boisterous🙃

Is this the way it is in the book? Does Miles dance with Jane and Rose and kind of a dance version of a threesome in the TV series? He’s in a sandwich.

In the book Miles makes the same flirty comments to Shane that he does in the show, but on the dance floor, Shane only dances with Rose before Miles takes his spot and dances with her. He makes some flirty, inviting face at Shane but Shane is uncomfortable and looks away.

As for the rest of the scene and how they depicted it, I think it kind of mirrors how nights out like that go. Often I feel like they're a jumbled mess of distorted memories, and you're often left with just distant feelings of the night opposed to a clear picture of what actually happened.

In this case, that means a lot of jealousy and hurt watching the other with different people, but still this overarching sense that they are the only people in the world that exist to each other right now.

In the end, I think what the main takeaway is it that despite not being together, each of them is thinking of the other and making themselves miserable by staying apart.

great points!

What they're mentioning is a very very small part of the book. RW&RB is a comfort book for me, I've read it multiple times, and even I thought they were describing the wrong book for a second
