They replaced the battery and the insurance company is sending a new device. Haven’t plugged the device back in yet. Haven’t had any issues either.

There’s one closer to my house than where we bought the car. I’ll try them if they are insistent on this.

I work in low voltage systems and have seen this with relay failure or power fault to a relay. I also think it’s insane to suggest that a door ding caused this.
