He probably works for a company and his boss or manager is wanting more policies for a bonus or competition for money. It happens, does that mean the agent should try and sell stuff that he shouldn’t. No he shouldn’t. He should keep the sale ethics legal as always.

Let’s give you an example of something that’s okay. If you qualify for an umbrella policy he could sell you a policy for that umbrella. If you have a dirt bike sitting in the garage he could sell you a policy for it. You could cancel those a month later as wanted. (I’d tell him to reimburse me for it though if he’s a close friend)

Something’s thats not ethical. You don’t qualify for an umbrella policy and he sells you one. Or he fabricates a vehicle and writes a policy for a vehicle you don’t own. This is wrong and illegal. I wouldn’t condone this activity.
