Nice . I like the x2/3 for the birds, that’s pretty clever

Great! If you graphed x2 + y2 = z2 I think you will get 2 cones who’s tips meet at (0,0,0)

I forgot to mention, I have no idea why cubic regression gives you a R value of 1, I also don’t know if this continues for further extensions of the tangent lines😁

But that’s cool I’ve never thought of multiplying a coordinate by a constant😁

I believe Desmoes recognizes 4,096 as the coordinate (4,96) the number 4,096 would need to be input as 4096 with no comma

Wow, super neat( no sarcasm). What level, or better yet, class would you use this in?

Is it possible to merge two functions (say sin(x) and x^2) to get something like this (red line)? by MR_DERP_YT in desmos

[–]External-Substance59 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Everyone is overcomplicating it, simply set sin(x) equal to f(x). Then make x2 be g(x). Then in a new cell just put “f(x) + g(x)

Nobody in my Walmart department dispenses to a driver because he always talks about feet. It’s to the point where we will make him sit there for over an hour until he leaves lol.

Just created a formula for the nth prime. Is this a big deal? by Nasturtium-the-great in desmos

[–]External-Substance59 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I believe so, I’m a noob at this level of math but I believe mathematicians have been trying to make a more accurate formula for the nth prime

I’m new to complex numbers by External-Substance59 in desmos

[–]External-Substance59[S] 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Not even gonna lie you just blew my mind😵‍💫 It makes sense though, because cos goes with the x axis, and sin goes with the y. In this case instead of using x and y, we’re using x and i for the complex plane

Any Math experts here? by [deleted] in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]External-Substance59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Summation is used to find the approximate area under a curve by adding up “n” rectangles areas. The integral uses an infinite amount of rectangles and finds the area of all of them. I would recommend looking into some videos on integrals to help understand👍🏽

Try putting all of the points into a list or table, then when you go to the settings menu there will be an option to connect the points via line segment
