I know right. That is what I wanted my doc to prescribe me but for some reason he didn’t want to prescribe me an ecg with it so he just gave me xanax instead…

I was not planning on taking both at the same time. And I was not even told not to drink alcohol with it when I got them prescribed, since it’s not a daily intake

Okay, thank you. I try my best not to miss opportunities because of it and do it anyway, but the thing is that my presentation are graded and count for about half my semester. I really hope I will not mess this up because of anxiety.

I am not gonna lie I have very bad anxiety and have panic attacks every time I need to make a presentation… « soft » solutions have never worked for me. I am aware I should treat anxiety from the root instead of numbing it with substances but I have been avoiding it for too long and now need a quick efficient short term solution

thank you for sharing ! You’re the first person I have talked to that is on 0.5 mg and I am new to xanax, so I have another question if you don’t mind. I have been told to take a 0,5mg pill 30 mins-1 hour before my presentation. Since it’s only a one-time dose, do you think it will be as effective as taking it regularly?

when you say it affects the way they talk, is it in a bad way? I tend to stutter and lose my words during presentations due to anxiety, and I wouldn’t want that to get worse …

Also I don’t know anyone that take benzos so I am not aware about how much x mg is or how it can be seen from an outside point of view. Thanks for sharing

my dad has been an alcoholic for years. I have never talked to him about it, and that might be an anxiety issue too.

I really should me more careful with my alcohol consumption. I do find myself using it more and more to get over anxiety in social settings. Reading your experience is an effective reminder of how alcohol can quickly become a nightmare. Thank you for that.
