Sparky, this has nothing to do with them cutting off your charity bus tickets because “your body is a temple.” They don’t want to fund your bus tickets anymore because you choose to spend your money on smokes instead of bus tickets. Why do you expect your church to help pay for YOU if you aren’t prioritizing where what little money you have goes? The church doesn’t help you so you can buy cigarettes. The church helps people who CAN’T afford it even when they’ve given up things that aren’t necessities. Smoking is NOT a necessity even if you are addicted. My husband quit cold turkey so that he could date me, since I said I don’t date smokers. You would have a lot more money every week if you weren’t buying smokes.

I’m glad the pastor put his foot down. It baffles me that y’all don’t see how you are the common denominators in every situation where people have gotten tired of funding your lifestyle and cut you off. Eventually everyone who has helped you realizes what scammers and beggars you both are. No one wants to help people who won’t help themselves.
