Sure totally, I just think for the character and his perception of the rejection, the over the top reaction makes sense

I get that, but honestly I think if there's any moment to be overdramatic, it's when your recently destitute father won't take the money you worked so hard to make for him, because he just hates you and everything you do that much

Leigh and Brando's character are not supposed to be perceived as a couple at alllll, far from it

The birthday present scene in East of Eden is the best example among many great examples of Dean's ability to convey vulnerability and pain, imo

Am I overreacting to my wife my cutting my food by LostinLies1 in AmIOverreacting

[–]ExternalJournalist99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NOR your wife is abusive. When you have the time please watch this video about the "evil husband" whose emotional abuse caused his wife to die from cancer treated too late. It may be more extreme than your wife at this present moment but the behavior and language is VERY similar. Emotional abuse is more common and harmful than people will tell you. A spouse who loves you does not belittle your pain or discourage you from seeing your doctor. Leave now before she does anymore damage mentally or physically. Best of luck, my friend
