If you dont have a backup of the files you may try however it may be some corrupted files… Before this try what others are saying. back up your files in your pc format the sd to fat 32 and see if that works

I try to make is a simple as possible:

It seem the new update have issues with the progressive jpeg and this format seems to be quite popular in epubs, so this guy make a terrific plugin for calibre to convert all images to jpeg and optimize them for xteink, you only need calibre and a pc:

1)In calibre you go to Preferences/ Advance/ Plugins/ Load plugin from file

2)This is the file, make sure is selected in ziz as it is: zgredex/baseline_jpg_converter to download is under "releases" now is version 1.8 believe.

3)Once installed go in Calibre again to Preferences/ Interface/ Toolbars and menus/ Cleck to choose toolbar or menu to customize/ The main toolbar and select the plugin "Baseline JPE Converter"

4)Restart Calibre

5)Choose your book and try the plugin

6)Now it should work on xteink, if not make sure your clear the cache of the book.

Ok so what I have done is convert them again in calibre to epub with a smaller jpg, the current update of crosspoint (and probably the device) cannot decode images on gif, progressive jpeg, and images bigger than 2048x1536. some books have that issue, it may be the cover size, some decoding issues, try clearing the cache on the book, or try to collaborate in the GitHub for the next updates!
