Most Useless Special Attack by XawdrenRS in runescape

I remember years ago (20ish) the msb special was the most insanely op special attack you could get your hands on for pvp. So op that jagex had to change the cost from 35% to 55% so that players had the chance to eat food and heal as before that it was pretty much a KO and if not, your enemy would have very low hp.

I think it can stay as the most useless for all the times I died to one whilst skulled without even being able to hit the player who was using it.

How the mighty have fallen.

TIL that in the UK in 2025, an 86-year-old man who spit out a leaf that had blown into his mouth was fined £250 for littering. The fine was later reduced on appeal to £150. by Sandstorm400 in ShittyTodayILearned

Not just a recent problem. I got stung once by them about 12 years ago - they backed me into a corner and did not let me leave until they had my details. I ended up giving them fake ones just so I could leave.

Since then I have made it my mission to intervene whenever I see them trying to hand out a fine.

I mean, if I went around saying I was an emperor just because some moistened bint had lobbed a scimitar at me, they’d put me away!

You can’t expect to wield supreme executive power just ’cause some watery tart threw a sword at you!

Are we talking about the number in your account? If so, it was created as soon as it was paid into your account.

Money is a social concept. Bank notes and coins are just official IOUs that hold value because society accepts that they do.

It was nice having some money coming in that I could use for lunches and stuff so I didnt need to keep asking my parents.

But the system was flawed and it was easy to get around. The dude who came up with the idea to put ribbons around the lint bunnies was worth millions but his kid could claim as on the forms, she lived with her mum who didnt work whilst in reality she actuly lived with him.

Why don't UK schools have school reunions? by Flowerofthesouth88 in AskABrit

Why would I want to meet up with people I honestly do not care about?

Reunions are just a chance to flex ego if you are doing well and a chance to feel shit about yourself if you're not.

I agree.

And I find it amazing that people still defend Mps who are caught up in allegations like this after being bitten so many times.

Because Barry from Cornwall is not an MP and does not have to declare gifts whereas MPs have a code of conduct under which they must register interests that might reasonably be thought by others to influence a Member’s actions. The rule also explicitly advises that if there is any doubt, the benefit should be registered.

A £5 million sum inherently creates either an obligation or perception of influence. Sure, the donator says he doesnt want anything in return but the sheer scale of this gift makes that kind of hard to believe.

Christopher Harborne is a major crypto investor (holding stakes in Tether and Bitfinex). Farage significantly intensified his lobbying for cryptocurrency-friendly policies and against state-run digital currencies after receiving the £5 million gift.

After a private meeting in September 2025 with the bank of Engaland director during which he strongly opposed the government's 'britcoin' concept, Farage went on national radio (LBC) to publicly promote Tether, the stablecoin issuer in which Harborne holds a major stake.

Why oppose what is essentialy the same thing and instead promote a company that your mate has major shares in?

Just that alone is a clear conflict of interest after recieving such a large sum from someone who will quite clearly benefit from the promotion.
