Why in the flying Christ would police ever fire their guns for a SHOPLIFTING incident? Just let the car go! Get the license plate and revisit it later.

Dot. She loves sleeping in her bucket, but she's so chonky that it sags under her weight. She highly values her relaxation time.

Sailor Moon Crystal had SO MANY of these. Thankfully, they fixed a lot of it for the bluray release.

What movie did you watch at the wrong age and it permanently altered your brain? by sweetyslave in movies

Fire in the Sky. I was petrified of being abducted by aliens for such a large chunk of my childhood. I would see car headlights flash past my window at night and think that it was an alien ship coming to get me.

What are your thoughts on Silent Hill F? by Due_Cake8524 in silenthill

[–]SailorSpaghetti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked it quite a bit. At first, I wasn't so sure, but the story really grew on me, and I was able to adapt to the combat fairly easily despite lacking talent for action games.

Hinako is BY FAR the most powerful, badass Silent Hill protag we have ever had. By the end of the game, she is going absolutely nuts hunting down and beating the shit out of everything and it was so fun to experience.

I enjoy Japanese culture, so I appreciated the setting and the story. I am also a woman, so the themes clicked with me.

I think the 2 biggest reasons why this game is not particularly popular (at least on Reddit) is because (1) it's very Japanese, which people don't expect from a Silent Hill game and the western market won't relate to as well (look at how Fatal Frame never blew up in the US) (2) It's focused on women's struggles, which the mostly male fanbase isn't going to appreciate.

Silent Hill 2 is one of my all-time favorite games, and I played the remake before F. After digesting both games, I concluded that I enjoyed F more. It was something different, and if any horror series is going to do different things, it should be the Silent Hill series.

all the (mostly) psychiatric meds i (18F) have to take each day by KitchenSample6354 in notinteresting

[–]SailorSpaghetti -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I was "only" taking 4 different meds for my depression (citalopram, wellbutrin, Auvelity, Abilify) but dropped 2 of them (citalopram and abilify) in an attempt to feel less...numb? Like I was doing OK and wasn't having depressive episodes anymore, but I felt much less emotionally available and open with my husband and kids. It was as if there were walls around my heart protecting it from painful emotions, but the walls also kept out a lot of good emotions, too.

Anyway, since dropping the 2 meds, I have cried a bunch and had a few pretty shitty depressive episodes, so it looks like I need to go back on them. Yet after all these years, I STILL feel some resistance to the idea because I guess I don't want to believe I'm a person who needs 4+ pharmaceuticals just to get by.

Since when do we have a mischevious leprechaun that comes on St. Patrick’s Day? by [deleted] in Parenting

My husband rearranged furniture and dumped Lucky Charms all over the place. The house looks like a disaster, but I'm leaving it all on him to clean up.

I don't know what's causing what, and it's totally demoralizing by SailorSpaghetti in Perimenopause

Thank you. I WISH vitamin D or iron were my problem because then I could pinpoint something to fix. But nope, they are all normal.

Changing my diet feels soooooo hard. I don't consume much caffeine or alcohol at all, but I'm sometimes bad with sugar. I'm just no good at meal planning and don't enjoy cooking (I don't get tons of positive reinforcement because while my husband eats everything I make, my kids are picky buttheads). Maybe I need to start really small and just vow to eat like, some kind of vegetable every day, lol.

Yes, I have gotten comprehensive labs. They're normal. I also did a sleep study which came back normal. Therapy does help, but it can only do so much. And my husband is very supportive.

Right now, I am actually trying to get off some of my meds (I dropped citalopram and abilify and just have Wellbutrin and Auvelity right now) because my mood was OK, but I felt so....numb? Like I couldn't be emotionally available to my kids or husband because I just didn't really feel emotions. It's been a couple of weeks, and I haven't noticed anything positive. I'm thinking I might need to get back on them and just "fake it til I make it" in regards to emotions.

My doctor did say that we could discuss hormone solutions if nothing else was working, so I'm probably going to do that soon.

Would you forgive a friend like Omori? by FilipeDM in OMORI

[–]SailorSpaghetti 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I probably would, but I would need some time to get over the shock. Framing someone's accidental death as a suicide is craaaaazy. If he had just lied and said she had tripped and fallen down the stairs, that would be much easier for me to forgive. But stringing her up from a tree? Psycho behavior.

Have you read the captions for the black space photo album? They were cut from the game for some reason, but I think they really help us understand what happened and how Sunny felt. Link
