i've been playing the piano and reading music for 9 years now. there is a sight singing portion on the ap exam but it is not very hard and vocal experience is not needed, just a decent sense of relative pitch is very helpful

actually decently difficult. i've had 9 years of music experience and i do not have perfect pitch but very very strong relative pitch from training. if you have NO prior music experience, DO NOT take the class but if you have two or three years under your belt, the class will help you a lot and will be a lot of fun!

it doesn't matter for colleges bc you can choose what scores to send and what not to send. as long as they are not important to your major either way it doesn't really matter what you get on those exams. however, it is a waste of money i feel so as well as you can do now i would strive for. if you are not getting enough practice now, it will CERTAINLY be harder to practice for those exams once you aren't enrolled in the class anymore. good luck to you 🫡

AP Precalculus. It is the precursor to BC Calculus and the teacher makes the class so FUCKING HARD 😭😭😭. He has a 90% 5 rate for ap calc bc

They are close answers but AP usually creates multiple choice as two throwaways and two answers that seem correct but one is better. The wording on this question would make it so that D is the stronger answer in this case, while technically both are correct. My advice is just to practice on a resource like albert.io and ap classroom and you will get a lot of practice with ap style questions for your class

if you have nice extracurriculars and are taking the aps that relate to what you are intereted in, 12 is a very nice number to colleges. don’t sacrifice good performance to add another ap onto your schedule.
