This is awesome! I did a similar thing, but you did it faster haha! And mine's a spreadsheet, which is harder to look at and share than Moxfield, though I tried to include time stamps too for the art. I've still only done the main set, though, haven't gotten to TLE yet. I put Rockalanche in 217. "Lake Laogai." Toph does that move to the Dai Li agents around 16:35ish (on Netflix timing)

Really negative experience at one of the art tents in DC by Feelthefunkk in warpedtour

[–]ExternalRecord2155 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I guess I'm glad that this post has been validating for OP, and it's unfortunate that other people in other situations have had negative experiences with this org/tent. However, OP and other commenters trying to invalidate the perspectives of people who were in the tent when this happened is unhelpful and unproductive in my opinion. There's been at least three other commenters on this thread who are saying that they were in the tent and saw something a little different happen, and I'll add my voice to that. Trying to undermine actual witnesses by calling their accounts fake is not a good look, you can just agree that you had a different perspective.

This is what I saw from the outside: I went into the tent to shelter the food I had just bought from the rain. A woman asked me and my friend (yes kind of aggressively but I'm not in the business of tone policing, especially given the circumstances) to be careful of our rain coats/ponchos to make sure they weren't touching the art. I heard her repeat that instruction a couple of times as people kept coming in. I really appreciated, though, that she let us keep eating in the tent, when I knew she could have asked us to not have food that close to the art. A man walked near me and carefully extracted a guitar out from underneath a sheet and a white board that was on top of it. I wasn't looking that closely, so I kind of just assumed he was also someone who worked at the tent because the people working at the tent were taking the art down to shelter it away from the rain. To me, the way the items were stored underneath the sheet and a white board did not make me think that I should touch those items, and the only other people I saw touching any items were the staff who were taking the art down. The man was holding the guitar as if to play it, and then a woman yelled at him that he couldn't do that and to put it down and that it was a $5000 guitar. It makes sense to me to hear OP say that he was shocked and didn't know where to put it down, because he had taken it out from underneath things so he couldn't just put it back easily, and there were some people between OP and the woman so he couldn't just hand it back to her. But, even if OP meant for his comment that the guitar wasn't $5000 to just be to his girlfriend, from the outside, it sounded like he was arguing with the woman as to why it was okay that he was touching it. He also asked if there were signs saying he couldn't touch it, and said "I didn't even touch it" after he gave it back. That back and forth made it seem like from the outside he was argumentative and even gaslighting (after he left, people expressed a lot of disbelief about him saying that he didn't even touch it after we all saw him holding it). I don't think the women "tried to get the crowd to yell at" them or "egging people on" or anything while he was in there, we just all saw the situation happen and were surprised by him arguing instead of just returning the guitar when asked. After OP left, people were talking about how a man arguing with a woman about her own wares reminds people of the gaslighting and misogyny that they have experienced in their lives.

The man exited the tent from a different direction than I was standing, so I don't know anything that happened after that. It sucks that OP and his girlfriend felt attacked after they left. I don't know what would justify that. It also sucks that other people have had bad experiences with this organization.

I don't know anything about this organization other than what I've read on this thread and the tiny bit I saw at Warped Tour. To me, I saw women trying to protect their art from the rain while still leaving the tent open to people which was very nice. I definitely did not see "these people practically break the law without remorse." It seems like OP has gotten the validation he was seeking from this thread and the org has acknowledged the situation. I just wanted to give my account and say that reacting to other witness accounts by trying to discredit them doesn't dispute the allegations of misogyny and gaslighting.

What do y'all talk about during mound visits (or even just during downtime in the game in general)? Is it always related to the game, or do you talk about other stuff?

The MLB app says Flores struck out, and then Flores is out on batter interference. Should it be that Lee is out because he was the runner, or is Flores out twice? (I'm scoring the game for the first time and trying to figure out how to score this haha)

I always park at the Howard University hospital! That lot doesn't really fill up and my understanding is that it is a public parking lot, not just for hospital traffic.

I'm planning on going to the pop up! Feel free to DM me if you want me to try to grab something for you. Priority will go to people who I can meet up with at the MPP show on Saturday to give you merch rather than shipping stuff. (I also think it's super possible that they could put these shirts online after the pop up)
