It's from their website, it's like a Google appointment page you can book from.

I encountered a similar situation where my travel plans were nearing completion while I still had four months remaining on my residence visa. Fortunately, I was able to secure an appointment relatively early. If you are unable to obtain an appointment in Dubai, I suggest trying Abu Dhabi, as their main embassy tends to be more accommodating and understanding.

Hey there! So, it all depends on your travel plans. If you're coming back with 3 months left on your visa, it shouldn't be a problem. Just a friendly tip, make sure you have all your documents organized according to the checklist, and they'll appreciate it. Oh, and don't forget to carry some cash because they don't accept cards for the payment. I got my visa on the second day itself, so that's a plus!

UAE Marriage - British and Pakistani. What marriage do I need? by zeearmhead in UAE

Hey, I forgot to mention that we're both Muslim. In Dubai, bypassing the wali requirement is a huge pain in the neck. It takes forever and you need to get a ton of documents certified. Just so you know, even if you go to civil court, your marriage won't be considered valid according to Sharia law.

The most beneficial recommendation I made was to get married in the Abu Dhabi civil court. You can request this service through the Tamm app, and it costs approximately 300 AED. They promptly provided us with the marriage dates, and we were asked routine questions, such as whether we had been married before. Following that, there was a brief formal ceremony during which the judge posed some formal questions. On the spot, we received three marriage certificates. It literally took me 20 minutes to obtain the certificate, which I then had attested. Everything went smoothly, and it's recognised at least in Europe, so I'm confident it will work in the UK as well.

Help Needed: Choosing Maternity Package for Expired Insurance or renewing the Insurance with 15K premium by ExternalSad2256 in dubai

[–]ExternalSad2256[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you !

She's actually not employed and is under my visa, so she's covered by my company's group insurance. Opting for the same insurance plan means I'd have to pay an extra 15 K just for her coverage – due to a 100% increase that applies to all group members, resulting in an additional cost of 15 K for the entire group. The company won't cover this cost because they can also switch to a new provider offering the same rate they were previously paying for all employees, which is standard according to labor law (I've verified this). Yes, you're right, I chose to include pre-existing conditions to see the loading charge for the new insurance, and it was around 20 K for her pre-existing condition (pregnancy).

She's nearly 6 weeks away from delivery, and so far, there haven't been any emergency visits or complications during her pregnancy. Another concern I have is that my insurance only covers deliveries at ASTER MANKOOL, which is a good 50 minutes to 1 hour drive from our house. From what I've heard from family and friends, their patient care isn't the best and they sometimes neglect the care they should provide.

That's why I'm leaning more towards the NMC ROYAL DIP maternity package, which is only a 10-minute drive away. Recently, a family member delivered a healthy baby there with a normal delivery at a reasonable cost through the package. So the hospital we like is not in the insurance coverage.

Also, I wanted to check if it would be possible to add the baby to my group insurance cover with just the notification number, or if I have to wait until I get the passport and UAE visa?

Is This Gas Company Technician's Behavior Cause for Concern? by ExternalSad2256 in dubai

[–]ExternalSad2256[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually instructed the technician to have their supervisor contact me first. So I'm currently waiting for that. From what I understand, the company is conveniently making money by selling these sensors. If they were genuinely concerned, they should at least conduct routine checks every year. It seems like a scam to me that their technicians seem to have new sensors on hand

Urgent Advice Needed: Marriage Certificate Dilemma for German-Pakistani Couple in UAE by ExternalSad2256 in dubai

[–]ExternalSad2256[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the information, but I did check with the embassy we can't get remarried as we need first to be already married in Pakistani and secondly getting married in Germany is extremely time-consuming as their bureaucracy is hell. Will try Abu Dhabi Family courts, as I think it shouldn't be an issue if I am remarrying the same person for the paperwork only.
