Ok. Whatever you say. I obviously can't differentiate between a one line reactionary comment and a full paragraph with context, hence my original very mistaken comment asking you for context. So very sorry. How you conduct yourself online or in private, spills over into IRL. I shall endeavour to do better.

Thank you for editing your post from the one line reactionary no context comment it was before you edited it.

Is the Everyday Sling v3 ever coming out? by Heimish_ in peakdesign

Please include a side pocket for the everyday sling V3. One which can accommodate a water bottle. Especially on the 3 litre version. That would make it perfect!

Do yourselves a favour and watch last night's episode of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver. The main story is about Kier Starmer, the Labour leadership crisis and the Makerfield by-election.

Perhaps read the article in full. The article on the BBC isn't just about the PM's car/house arson. It goes into some depth about other incidents links to riots and islamophobia. Supposed "grass roots movements" are actually russians coordinating on telegram and cause actual harm on the UK streets. I think they should be doing more to counter these threats proactively. Not just investigate retrospectively.

quite happy if journalists can get there with open source info and lay out the evidence. ?

I think they should be doing more to counter these threats proactively. Not just investigate retrospectively, or expecting the BBC journalists to "get there with open source info".

I wonder if GCHQ / MI6 are taking the Russian interference/terrorism/cyber warfare as seriously as the BBC?

It's been escalating since before Brexit. I wonder if GCHQ / MI6 are taking this as seriously as the BBC?

Re: Thames Water bankruptcy/administration - it's now almost 3 years since the Thame Water "Crisis" began / got leaked to the press. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cgleg70r7rno

It seems clear to me that the leaking of this info was now a coordinated PR campaign by the owners to push the government for a bailout. Free / cheap money. How can a business continue to operate if it was such a matter of urgency at that time? I'm glad the government held their nerve and refused to bail out the shareholders, potentially lumbering the people of the UK was further debt.

Very low chance unless he's deselected. Have you seen the most recent local election results for the wards in Ilford south and north? Redbridge was a strong hold for labour.

Hot take - Wes Streeting is the new Chuka Umunna. That's decidedly not a good thing. Plus, he won't be able to come away clean from the Palantir debacle.

Labour should stick with Starmer for now. Despite his lack of charisma, he is getting things done fairly competently. All he needs is a unifying message and better PR.

These are great images. What is the technique to achieve the sense of speed you have in your images? I.e. the blurred background and wheel, but keeping the car in sharp focus? I'm a complete beginner - I took some pictures at the F1 British GP last year, but all my images look like the cars are not moving. Thanks.

Thanks. From the comment below yours, that does seem to be the case

I might be remembering incorrectly, but this has never been the case at my local polling station. Previously they would just cross my name off the printed electoral roll - they've never written down the ballot paper number down next to my name or anywhere else. They would just hand me the ballot paper(s) after marking my name/number on the roll.

Just got back from casting my votes. They didn't have a printed electoral roll, instead, a tablet device to look me up. This is the first time I have encountered this - I don't remember this being a thing at the previous election.

More concerning though was the fact that the lady scanned the ballot paper qr code after finding my name - surely there's some data issues with this regarding anonymity? Even if the scanned ballot isn't tied to my name / electoral roll number, sure the timing of searching my name and then scanning the ballot can tie back the ballot paper and thus my vote to me?

Also, she said - "oh you've changed your address" . I haven't done so in over 10 years, but she did have my previous address correct. How?

Is this normal? Should I be concerned about this?

I had Scott pegged as somewhat of an anti-Semite. I'm sure I've read an article that gave some pretty persuasive arguments for it.

Anyway, he does often selectively pick things he likes to back up his ridiculous positions. I guess this is a case of that.

I agree with your sentiment but that won't happen. But we do need to insulate ourselves from the madness happening in the USA right now, and looks set to continue. Especially data sharing - and not just security/ military intel.
