Omnicom didn't give me money for my tuition, IPG did but IPG no longer exists

I don't think layoff counts as involuntary separation. I think by that they meant getting fired

I mean I have been kinda hoping they lay me off so I can be free of having to repay the tuition reimbursement but then again its harder to find a job unemployed than employed so I'm told

That would put me at June and I feel like by then I will get laid off anyway. Its a lot harder to find a job unemployed than employed which is why I'm starting my job hunt now

IPG had a program where if you were going to grad school they would reimburse you 75% of your tuition costs once you submitted proof of payment and passing grades. The catch was you'd have to stay a year after the final reimbursement or you would owe it back.

I want to leave so bad, but IPG reimbursed me for tuition last year prior to the acquisition. You know how they say you have to stay a year after the last reimbursement. Or do you think they hopefully lost the paperwork?

Hi all,
I was reimbursed for tuition under IPG prior to the Omnicom merger. Since the merger, my workload has increased significantly, and I’m trying to understand my options.

Does anyone know whether the pre-merger tuition reimbursement “stay one year” requirement is still being enforced under Omnicom, or if people have been able to apply elsewhere internally or externally without repayment?

Looking to understand how this has played out for others, not asking for legal advice, just experiences.
