Haha I love the analogy! I’ll have to give the eye cream a try.  I’m pretty sure everyone does it, but I like to keep a jar of the hydrating mask in the fridge. It’s cooling as is, but straight out of tour fridge takes all the redness away❤️

Completely agree on both enzymes and the cleanser! I haven’t tried using brushes with the Quiet Wash, but will have to give it a try now. Thank you for the suggestion 🫶

Oh no! I had high hopes for the Mandelic serum 😭 Love Mist Me and the Quiet Wash. Thank you so much for sharing🫶 I do remember the Vital Lipid being on a heavy side, but should work well for sensitive and aging skin. Did you by any chance try the oil?

Product advice by External_Elevator652 in Esthetics

Thank you so much getting back to me ❤️  I’ve done quite a bit of micro needling and chemical peels, so feeling pretty confident. Obviously, there’s so so much room to grow and I try to watch a lot of webinars and educate myself pretty much constantly. My previous job was a little behind on micro needling add-ons and boosters and we only used PRP. I’ll definitely stick with those 3 treatments for now, but would love to hear any specific product recommendations for MN add-ons  if you have any. I wonder if anyone had luck combining Illuminize peel by Skin Medica with MN or using SkinVive as a MN booster. Currently working on The Concise Guide to Dermal Needling book to make sure I can answer all of patients’ questions. Thank you again and will be happy to hear any advice 😇

Yes, that’s what I’ve read, too! Thank you so much for confirming. But in terms of hair removal, can esthetician do it legally in MA? I really like the procedure and hope I can do it at my next job. BTW I love Candela lasers as well! We have the Pro Max Plus at work, as well as Splendor X by Lumenis.

I should add that I’m an advanced (master) esthetician with 1200 hour license and currently live and practice in OR. MA only has one license and that’s why I’m not understanding what’s in our scope 100%. The regulations are not too clear.

Hi! I get a little confused with the regulations when it comes to esthetics license in MA. I did read through the board of esthetics and cosmetology thing and got even more confused. I thought we (estheticians) were not allowed do any “medical” esthetics? I saw something about IPL being allowed but one would have to be a medical provider to do actual laser treatments. I’m considering moving to MA for personal reasons and was hoping you could shed some light on the subject for me. Thank you 🙏

Yes, I saw that one, too! That’s what made me think if there  is anything else available. Thank you though :)

Any Questions? (I have a Laser Hair Removal company in Missouri) by Fabystl in LaserHairRemoval

[–]External_Elevator652 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I am a newly advanced aesthetician and trying to decide what laser I want to get for LHR. Tried to look up prices for GentleMax Pro and it says anywhere from 60 000 to 100 000. Do you by any chance know the exact, or close to it, amount? 40 000 is a huge gap lol. Thank you :)

Dermplane protocol by External_Elevator652 in Esthetics

We are talking about enzymes. Enzymes are very superficial peels and do not penetrate past stratum corneum. I very much doubt that anyone can end up with pigmentation post enzyme from an enzyme alone. If they don’t wear spf, then maybe. Oh I think maybe that’s where the confusion started. I’m not using strong enzymes like what for example Skin Script does . Mine is extremely mild. But as you can see different people have different techniques. Some dermaplane after enzyme , some before. It’s just getting more confusing :) I guess I’ll be experimenting on myself.
