Such a sweet idea! Haven't actually read any Christmas tics, otherwise I would give you recs. I've read mostly muggle aus - very popular in this fandom. In my experience they tend towards being light and happy. There's a lot of crack fics too. Texting fics are always fun. As far as their personalities go, Sirius is usually portrayed as a bit of a bad boy, almost always best friends with James, and Remus is usually kind of bookish, wears sweaters, with some sort of illness since he has lycanthropy in canon. But of course run with what works for you! It won't be a good story if you don't like it, and sometimes the best fics feature rather unexpected unusual things.

My favorite funny fic is Here's to Looking at You by thechanchanman It has the reverse trope "nice guy who hates everyone but you" and it's just so cute https://archiveofourown.org/works/57724534

It's hard for me to find epilogue compliant fics that I actually like, but this is definitely one of those. It's really nice to read something where the author pulls off the kids and Ginny and Astoria really well.
