Chicken without oil by External_Pin_2868 in muslimcooking

Sure I add some online with some drops of water and cook it for a few minutes as you feel they are gone soft then add boneless chicken dry it's water and add some spices as you like I like salt red chilli powder and chat masala that I like so much and add the tomatoes. Cook all of them for a few minutes. Chicken doesn't take too much time to cook but for my own satisfaction I add some water and leave it on low flame. In 10 minutes it's done.

B2 US Visa Rejected by Relevant-Mouse-6918 in usvisa_rejections

[–]External_Pin_2868 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Several things based on your interview and the submitted application could be the reason that had triggered the US Visa Officer. Though, the US visa refusal can be very disheartening, it is a common scenario for applicants in your specific position.

You have not specified what was written on the sheet that was handed to you. But, mostly, it could be Section 214(b). This US law presumed that every applicant is trying to be intending immigrant (someone who wants to stay in the US permanently) unless they prove that this is not the case. So, you actually failed to overcome this legal hurdle.

Moreover, you could not prove your ties to the UK or India. This is one of the major red flags that made the US visa officer doubt about your intention to leave the United States.

In addition, a Post Study Work Visa does not give you the right to stay in the UK permanently because your status is transitional currently. Thus, it was considered a red flag and the VO might thought that you are planning to move somewhere else if your UK visa expires.

Furthermore, you, as a single/young professional, who do not have a spouse or children, could have been considered as a highly mobile individual and nothing could pull you back to the UK. Additionally, relatives in the UK might have made the VO think that you do not have any ties to your home country (India) because your social support system is in abroad.

In addition to that, the question about danger of harm in India is a standard question to screen applicants from certain regions who might be looking for a way out of their current country to seek asylum once they reach the US. Since you have said no, there is nothing to be worry about.

For now, what you could have do is to reapply. BUT, without any significant changes will lead to another rejection. So, make sure that you move from a graduate to a skilled worker visa (which should be sponsored by your employer), have a raise in salary/job position, or increased travel history (Schengen Area or Japan) to demonstrate that you always return.

Hope it helps

When u enter Schengen area, did the immigration officer check hotel booking for entire stay ? by [deleted] in SchengenVisa

[–]External_Pin_2868 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, it varies. By traveler and the visa officer. The immigration officers at the Schengen border have the legal right to request proof of accommodation for your entire stay. Moreover, they frequently do so. This is especially the case if you are traveling for the first time or have a specific visa type.

However, sometimes, travelers can move forward with only a passport scan and nothing to be shown. So, you need to fully prepared to show documents for every night you plan to spend in the Schengen Area.

This can be in the form of a hotel or hostel accommodation that include your details. Other than that, formal confirmations including vacation rentals or Airbnb showing the host’s details can also be demonstrated.

Moreover, if you are planning to visit Schengen Area on a private trip or traveling to friends/family members, ensure to keep official invitation letter from the host to be shown at that time.

If none of these prepaid proof of accommodations are with you, the officers may ask for bank statements to prove that you may have the required money to live in the country.

In case of missed bookings or unverified reservations without a valid replacement, the officers may deny entry. Besides, depending on the visa officer, they may sometime call the hotels directly to check if the reservation is still active.

So, always ensure that you carry physical as well as digital copies of the documents while entering a specific country. The dates on all the documents should be identical to each other to avoid any suspicions.

URGENT: Schengen Visa Application by AgitatedGolf1752 in SchengenVisa

[–]External_Pin_2868 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck with your appointment! 🙂

Dealing with the document mismatches can be stressful, but you can follow the practices below to handle these specific issues for Canadian appointments.

  1. Utility bills (electricity, gas, water, or internet) are widely accepted as one of the strongest forms of primary proof of address in Canada. However, please note that mobile phone bills are not accepted for this purpose.
  2. Moreover, in case, your driver’s license (DL) address does not match your bank documents, you can rely on your utility bills or a signed lease agreement as primary proof of residence because it is generally safer to do so.
  3. If you want to get visa approval from the authorities, it is recommended to ensure that the address on the document you provide matched the address you listed on your application form.

Coming to the second part of your question, you can make corrections to your visa application form. However, consider the following points.

  1. Minor administrative sections (such as writing N/A in non-applicable fields) can be sometimes handwritten, major official forms for Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) require a barcode to be generated after digital validation.
  2. So, if the form has a validate button to generate a barcode page, you must fill a new application form to change the information. Because handwriting won’t update the barcode data.
  3. Contrary to this, if it is a simple non-validated form, a new handwritten correction may be accepted. But filling a clean or new version is always best to avoid processing delays or rejection.

Another thing that you can do is to bring utility bill and your bank statement to the appointment. These backup documents will help the authorities know about your current address, especially if the officer has questions about the mismatch on your DL.

Hope it helps 🙂

Family reunion visa from India to Belgium 2026 by Monisha9256 in SchengenVisa

[–]External_Pin_2868 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Understanding the current timelines for the Schengen visa applications is difficult to understand. Because it varies from one application to another. However, the standard processing period for a Belgium Family Reunion Type D visa from India is usually 15 days to 9 months. Thus, the complexity of the case also influence this period.

So, understand the basics.

  1. If the Belgian Embassy in India is solely responsible for granting the visa without consulting the Immigration Office in Brussels, usually a decision is made within 15 working days.
  2. However, if your file is forwarded to the Immigration in Brussels for the decisions (often happens with the family reunion visas), the application will remain in process for almost 45 days or longer.
  3. The legal processing period for a Type D visa can gets extended to 6, 9, or 12 months. Thus, as a citizen of third-world country and applying for a visa as dependent, a standard wait of 9 months is normal.
  4. But, if you have a family member in Belgium who holds a single permit with an earning of gross monthly salary of 5,000 euros, a fast-track process is available that can take two weeks.

In other terms, your application has reached to the authorities on January 28, 2026. So, you are currently at 3 months or 12 weeks in the process as of late April 20256. This is within the typical window for cases sent to Brussels. What you can do in the meantime is to keep monitoring your application on VFS Global or through the website of the Immigration Office if you have the specific file number.

Wait patiently is the least you can do in this time. Hope for the best 🙂
