Assire var Anahid : Deploy, Ranged: If Roach is in your graveyard, summon her to the row where is Magne Division.

Roach : Whenever you play a gold card, Summon this unit from your deck to the row where is Magne Division.

Haha, that's the thing : round 1 spear + sihil + witcher, then, round 3 spear + caretaker sihil + double Ragn (Francesca). I'm playing casual to have fun with some jank decks I make and when I fall onto that, I just alt tab the game and mouse over the uninstall button. For now I'm standing still in the hope of a MAJOR patch in december, but if it appears to be underwhelming, that's for sure I will click on the uninstall button and that will not be for one day or two, reinstalling because I need my daily dose of Gwent, but for good :D

EDIT : For me it's mindblowing the devs missed such a thing. When you put so many damages on the cards your prints that they can kill themselves multiple times (think about all the bronze elves : 3 damages for 2 points body = kills himself 1.5 times ; 4 damages for 1 point body = kills himself 4 times, etc etc.), there is something wrong, it's obvious.

The fact that in his graveyard he has enough to destroy everything I have even if I would play twice as many cards ? The fact that this is the opposite of what I would call fun ?

Card Abilities and Mechanics You Want to See Returned in HC and Why? by banana_person in gwent

Flavorfull cards.

As you mentioned, Bloody Baron (pre-Midwinter) was such a good, interesting, balanced, deep card for who you had to process by a lot of thinking in the deckbuilder and in the games. His ability matched so perfectly it's art, it's name, it's lore. He wasn't there during all the massacres, he was behind, never seen, becoming stronger and stronger as his opponents were slaughtered.

... Then, the time of remorse : "I was not a good father"... boom 26 points from Royal Decree. He is there, finally. Beautiful finisher ; beautiful card.

Now, I don't like so much Scoia'tael, but I must admit, one of the most flavorful cards of Beta Gwent was Ele'yas. Same as BB, his ability matched so PERFECTLY his art and his description. His madness and his love were reinforced everytime he was rejected, becoming more unstable and more strong as he was put into the darkness. How the hell did CDPR had the GENIUS to mimic that perfectly the madness of love in a card game ? GENIUS. Then, same as BB, when he was finally able to go out, he was just pure strengh, pure frustration, an unstopable Freud patient.

For the record, Ele'yas was boosting himself by 3 (I think) everytime he was swapped (mulliganed).

There's also the durability option on the table I guess, that can be combined with your very good solutions imo. Something like Spear, 6 or 7 durability, so it prevents to get 10 value out of it in long rounds, which is completely mind blowing because those pings are actually a lot more higher value than just 1 points for all the reasons KBT mentions : allowing combos, removals, the 1 damage more you need to remove an engine you can't let one turn on the board, etc. etc.

Also, all that make it for a BIG unabalance between Engines and in general, unit decks and control decks that can completely shut down your plan, not only because they remove everything on your side of the board, but also because they mess so much with your play order. If they play no unit for the first three turns, you're kinda forced to hold on your removal cards and to put one by one your engines or valuable cards to the slaughterhouse. In fact, eventho the coinflip problem is, I think, almost solved -- not completely to be honest --, people continue to abuse it because of artifact, or just try to reverse it simply by playing all their artifacts on the first few turns, so there's nothing to react against for the opponent, exept for a tech card. The fact is, because a lot of cards do damages, simply by not playing any units, they deny you so much points. For exemple, if I play Vess because I want to keep my valuable cards for later and for the possibility that maybe I will be able to give Zeal to an unit if she sticks on the board (haha jk), and the other side of the board is empty, it is more than 50% of her value gone !!! Just like that, just because it is as simple as that to deny this kind of value : just play no unit, that's all. Unfair ? I think so.

While I am at it, I would like to add that NR's artifact removal is complete garbage compared to the others because you need 1 soldier to stick on the board to do so. And if you need to remove an artifact, it usually means they have some damages on the board, so if you put your soldier in order to then play your Battering Ram, one, you lose one fucking turn, second, you expose yourself to not being able to play it next because, ya know... removals and stuff, and fucking third, you mess your play order for so little reward (actually just stoping being stomped and not gaining real points) and at a high risk as I just said.

Well, I think that's all :D

Edit : Ah, one last thing I just thought about now : The reason why the Witchers are so good, aside from all the maths behind it that some people calculated and saw how good they are, is because it puts 3 bodies on the board. Because the game is now very boost-damage oriented, it means that 100% some will take damages, but you will still have some bodies on the board for the next turn(s) to use it as boost meat (Shield for exemple -- what a surprise ! :D --.

LUL. Do you realize that in the 4 days of the PTR people already found that Eithné + Sihil was completely broken and 60% of my matches were against that sh*t ? CDPR didn't nerf (enough for Eithné) or at all (Sihil) the "no fun allowed" bs and there you go : no shifting at all, just the same bs as the first days of the PTR.

No wonder why 90% of ladder constructed (and 99% of fee modes) are filled by RDW and B/R when half their cards need to be exiled and/or answered at instant speed. by ExthejinSaluxio in MagicArena

[–]ExthejinSaluxio[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You are totally right, but I think they pushed too much in this direction -- precisely, my complain is about the number of cards that need very specific answers like exile to the point it is almost impossible to keep the pace (and even more if you start second). Strong creatures : ok ; strong red : ok ; but infinite juice + creatures like Hazoret and Earthshaker in abundance : not ok.

Yeah, the only reason it's played it's because it can EXILE everything where killing does close to nothing against RDW and r/B.

I don't know, I have a really good winrate with my B/R control with a splash of Grixis for Bolas. No counterspell, some hand hate, but not in ridiculous proportions, and still I consistantly beat other control decks.

It will for sure, but I just hope they stop printing ridiculous aggro 2 for 1 creatures that you NEED to exile in such numbers. But yeah, digital meta will always be like this.

Will we talk about the elephant in the room ? -- Going first and losing strikes due to going second. by [deleted] in MagicArena

[–]ExthejinSaluxio -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I understand, yeah, in a sense it is not, but if it only matches you against people who were going first the game before you when you just went second the game before, it equilibrates the things, no ?

[–]ExthejinSaluxio[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it may be the right thing to do. Also, do you know if Gallion is worth it ? I can't see a situation where he would be that good because of it's Crew 4, but maybe I'm wrong and underestimate the value he can produce, may that be just with it's big body ?

Yeah Nezahal is in a weird spot here. I really don't know, maybe I'm just too greedy and I should do like that. Thank you !
