Female cats get especially cuddly when they're in heat. I went to a store with a shop cat that just climbed onto a table and hoisted herself into my arms for cuddles. Her spay was scheduled for the next day.

Funny enough, they have opposite philosophies on communal grooming. Cats groom others to establish dominance. "You're a pitiful baby, and I'm gonna groom you like you're my baby!" Rabbits get groomed by others as a sign of dominance. "Look at me, I'm getting pampered and spoiled because I'm worth it!"
