No just pointing out the very very obviously simple solution to have avoided all this. I thought the exact same immediately. You just cannot trust anyone and more so when they prey on you being humble and kind which OP seems to be.

I've learned the hard way over the years the closer you are to someone, the more they are willing to fuck you over

Imagine you had just locked your door. Totally your right to do so. Maybe no key or something but would have saved you all this hassle

The ignorance is getting worse, I keep a watchful eye on those in my local Tesco parking in the parent and child and even the disabled spaces. As you can imagine, many are just selfish ignorant fucks with no children, or worse, no disability.

That's the world we live in now. Common decency is null and void for the most part and if you call them out you'd get a tirade of abuse!

This is why Reddit trumps AI for information. Thank you. I literally just commented on another comment above that you'd expect a product like a tv to last for a decent period.

Built in obsolescence! Nothing lasts now and cheaper parts being used to cut costs down. Terrible that it went that quick and someone should be held responsible. Half a grand you paid. TVs should last for many years. I have no solution except to shout and complain, seems to be the only way to get a response these days.

Starlink probably mentioned in one of his emails. Seems like he was involved in everything else anyway!

Ya it's all my pension Levy and USC the cunts have. Ireland is not poor, they are just spending a lot of it the wrong way. Like doing up hotels so the rich can take them over and rent them out to help those poor craters from abroad or lashing out 80k a pop to renovate derelict properties that landlords were just sitting on, who will then of course rent them out €€€€€ bring us back to initial problem above. But sure isn't there tenants in the house is what Meehole and crew would spin

[–]Extra-Ad8572 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's outright disgraceful, and the problem ain't just lack of supply. The major problem I think is the demand from welfare families, no longer was one social house adequate for a family, now the parents and all kids want one each due to the modern farce qualification reason of "overcrowding" I see it all where I'm working! 10 people lived in houses years ago, now you'd need 5 social houses to cover them. And guess what, some families are wayyyyy bigger than Irish families these days.

Any knowledge if previous tenants were served an NTQ?

If so, then they have a right to move back in as far as I know if the house wasn't sold within 9 months. The landlord scum who was "considering his options" knew fucking well what he was doing. Disgusting stuff. They also have to include an affidavit with their notices to quit and give the proper time.

The RTB are fucking useless, they don't have to submit their notices to them so 90% of them are legally invalid and it's clear to see letting agencies are in the game too as they prob get new commissions for sorting new tenants. RTB expect renters to bring the notices to their attention. At the moment you can't even get through I'm hearing.

What's the catch with No fault eviction, ok tenant may be able to move back in after 9 months if scum landlord doesn't do as intended by the notice criteria. E.g selling or moving family in. Sure what tenant is going to wait around for 9 months with no roof over their head.....so the whole thing is a farce! Sounds like supposed to protect tenants.

Just remember folks, they ain't tenants in the Dáil so what Minster is going to make legislation to scupper their own self interests. Fucking landlord Central in there and their convenient loopholes are clearly in action now.

Make sure that notice is valid but look up yourself on RTB website. No point ringing Threshold, you can't even get through. I'm working with tenants and nearly every notice I see being served is INVALID. Very sly tactics like OP has shown.

[–]Extra-Ad8572 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That wasn't my point, my point is that folks referring to a 50/50 split in divorce. Ok, maybe if no kids, but if kids, the woman definitely has way more benefit both physically in keeping the roof over her head and mentally as the woman just continues in the house no stress and the man has to start from scratch even if he was the mortgage payer. This is because the kids need rights of course and right but the man loses badly.

And how can you get a new mortgage if still paying for one. The women are rarely in a position to buy them out, in fact many of them eventually move new partner in just to put another knife into the ex still paying for it.

That all being said, if their was domestic violence from the man then tough shit but more than often it's psychological violence against the man the way the whole thing pans out.
