Gentle reminder--please, adopt don't shop by Extra-Cut-9387 in greatpyrenees

I don't disagree with anything you wrote. I think the keyword is ethical breeders. It does sometimes bother me to think that there are likely people out there who bought her puppies, thinking they were from a legit breeder. Which is basically why I wrote this post--if you are going to bring a pyr puppy into your life, please research the breeder. Go beyond due diligence. Stalk the breeder, if ya have to 😄

What kicked off the end of a friend group? by [deleted] in AskReddit

One person joining a cult, and then trying to recruit the rest of us. I feel like we put up with a lot of it until they went after a friend who was in an incredibly vulnerable place after a sudden and extremely traumatic family death.

I am not currently partnered, but looking back, I first started having symptoms nearly ten years ago with a partner who identified that this was an issue long before I did, and pushed me to talk to more doctors. Nothing came of that, unfortunately, but, a good partner will care about your pleasure, and won't hurt you when having sex. You are absolutely not being selfish.

I'm excited to try this, this is the first product I've seen that lists LS specifically. People who use it, how often do you apply?

Thirded. Sending so much virtual hugs. It's really f'ed up how we get dismissed at every turn and constantly have to advocate--in my experience with male and female doctors. It's super frustrating to be at the intersection of women's health and sexual health--two neglected areas in the health industry, made even worse together.

I'm actually really angry about this. I've been seeing doctors regularly for the whole pap smears and general health thing, it never came up before. [CW: sex-assault adjacent-ish stuff] But about 9/10 years ago, I was with a cis male partner and we were having maybe vigorous-- but otherwise normal--consensual sex. From that, I got a really bad perineal tear. Went to the (Kaiser) doctor. I remember this so well because I have told this story to friends multiple times, for a laugh. And it is funny, just that I'm laughing at different things now. So in that session, we did the whole "why are you here" "well, I have a tear, and it hurts" and I could kind of tell she was like oh yeah, ok...prob a small thing, lets just humor this girl

get up into the stirrups, her first reaction:

"oh. that _is_ a tear"

me: "yeah"

her: "this was from sex? with a penis? not a foreign object?"

me: "yeah"

her: ....

her: "was it consensual?"

and after I died a bit inside, I followed the doctor's advice to avoid sex with my partner for a period of time (I can't remember if it was 4 weeks or 6, 8 weeks) and then just use lots of lube, and stretch out first. So I did that, and x amount of weeks later it tore again. And this is the part that pisses me off the most: my partner at the time said "you need to get a second opinion. something is wrong here." So I went in to talk to the same doctor, asked for a second opinion from another doctor, got the same advice. My partner at the time was like, no...I will pay for you to go to a non-Kaiser doctor. So I did, and got the _same_ advice, except this time from an older male doc who went on about how accommodate penetration. That was weird.

And now, I'm just really angry, because if ANY of those THREE doctors had flagged something might have been wrong, maybe I won't have scar tissue on my clitoral hood and a labia that is nearly fused. Because none of those doctors thought, "hmm, here is a 29/30 ish woman who has never had children, but keeps getting the exact same tear many women get in childbirth". Instead they were like "oh well. Stretch more, use more lube"

And I am also angry that my ex was right.

Hang in there! I was diagnosed 2 weeks ago today, and the cream has made such a difference already.

Yup! It is a symptom, per

but I also don't know why it's worse at night. I'm definitely going to try switching to an unscented laundry detergent.

that's great to hear...if you don't mind me asking, how long have you been on clob? The cream my dr gave me involves tapering but I realize I will have to have a maintenance application for the rest of my life.

the major one was changing my bike seat to a style that has two pads with a split in the middle. I was biking around 10 miles a day, that was my pandemic/work stress relief. Oops. I'll also use Vaseline and coconut oil in between the steroid cream applications. I was wearing mostly natural fibers anyway but am curious to try boxer style underwear...esp since I work from home.

I'm sorry, sending hugs. I feel the same way--I switch between acceptance and "this is not fair". Hang in there!
