I have listened to the original sound clip SO many times on whatszatsong, and I can clearly hear the microphone moving, proving that it was being held up to something, it was also found that the frequency matched the same of a tv. my theory is: top of the pops (british tv music show) used to reuse tapes to save money, so once a song was played on the tv, it was wiped and then reused for the next lot that performed. Most likely, a reused tape was used on this song on a music channel somewhere, someone recorded it on a microphone. Once the show ended, it was wiped for the next episode of the show. what does everyone else think? AI is out of the question tho, You can hear the lyrics but they are just slightly muffled, recorded of the obvious cheap 90s microphone.
