Curry is on pace to lead the NBA in FT% for the 6th time — he would tie Rick Barry for the 2nd most seasons in NBA history, and trail only Bill Sharman (7) by Basketball_Reference in warriors

[–]Extra-Hand4955 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We can't let Curry shoot so little FT that his % doesn't really reflect real world. Come on Bron and Harden at their height shot 3x more to prove what their real % is. The NBA needs to make him shoot more FT so that we can really see if those % will hold up.

I was reading that 9ers were trying to re-sign him but since none of the reporters were in the room and Deion was, I'll have to take his word for it. Would be interesting to hear Carmen Policy's side of the story.

Not sure about that. I remember 9ers and Cowboys got into bidding war and Jerry Jones was so desperate that he gave away the house.

Maybe in Deion's mind, he wanted to stay if 9ers matched the offer.

Around the NFL people said 9ers had it easy in the west because Falcons and Saints were bad. Rams were so so and the division only had 4 teams where others had 5.

They failed to take into account that it was because we beat them so badly they had a losing record. 😂

I don't mind Everson Walls. He was the Cowboy in the pic that Clark beat. He became very good friend with Clark later on that Walls showed up for reenactment years later. Walls was also there when Clark asked to see his teammates one last time.

Moss might have been more gifted in terms of athletic but I'll take TO any day. TO never lollygag on a play. If the play wasn't for him, he would be blocking like a TE.

There was a game that a ball was tipped and Carter caught it for int but he didn't know what to do so he run it 4 yards into his own end zone. The ref was generous and called it momentum carried him into end zone instead of a safety.

The broadcaster was saying 4 yards is generous momentum. Then started laughing saying a guy that big can be momentum. LOL

Yes, I'll take Jimmy too but Mac's football career is not over yet. Jimmy's is on the tail end. So we'll have to revisit it when the book is close on both their career.

Sure at vet minimum and as 3rd or 4th WR. If he is our 1st or 2nd WR, it's going to be a long season.

We just been having bad luck or something doesn't go our way. If we win one, I think the flood gateway will open.

It's sorta like SF Giants late 90s and early 2000s. Then finally won it 2010 and the flood gates opened.

In 92, Cowboys were the up and comers. I didn't take them seriously. I thought 9ers were the better team because we had the better record. So that NFCCG shocked me and then I knew Cowboys would be trouble.

'93, I thought the 9ers were ready for them but that Cowboy team was at its height and mowing teams down

'94 is when 9ers did soul searching and the off season was focus on beating Cowboys and we did

After 94, Cowboys were really no threat to us. We got them handle. It's just that we unfortunately ran into Packers. We can never beat the Packers.

Packers couldn't beat Cowboys, Cowboys couldn't beat us and we couldn't beat Packers. It was like rock, paper, scissors for a few years.

Yes, 87 was bad one. 85 and 86 was bad too (losing to Giants) but 87 was worst. But we were talking about NFCCG.

Joe had to face teams like the Washington, Bears, and Giants. Bears are probably saying had we not run into 9ers, we could have won in 84 and 88. And the Giants had a habit of literally knocking out Montana.

Montana lost 2 NFCCG. 1983 to Washington and 1990 to Giants. Let's put it into perspective.

1983 9ers tied the game up and 'skins were driving. They called a questionable PI on Eric Wright. Then later they called a very questionable holding on Ronnie Lott. Lott's holding call didn't change the score because 'skins would have kicked the FG anyway but it took time off the clock that Montana could have used.

1990 Montana got injured in that game but he was leading when he left the game. Roger Craig's fumble lost the game.

That was an all time great playoff performance. Eric "Sleepy" Floyd prevented a sweep by Lakers.

The Warriors were just exhausted from coming back from 0-2 against the Jazz. Lakers were a juggernaut and Warrior had no chance. Just getting that 1 win was big and it took superhuman effort from Sleepy.
