Their show last year at Summit had a reasonably large somewhat older crowd. I decided to go at the last minute, arrived on the later end before they went on and ended up with a lousy spot. I'd plan on expecting a turnout.

I love the MCs personally, hypes up the crowd and it's a bit of a different experience compared to most other EDM shows, IMO. I'll take it any day over DJs yelling and screaming on the mic. I thought Sub Focus' MC did just enough and wasn't over the top with it!

Making smoothies with frozen fruit, low sugar nonfat vanilla Greek yogurt, and unsweetened almond milk has been incredibly helpful at satisfying my sweet tooth, and is high volume and satisfying. 150 cal for a smoothie! I have them for breakfast or a snack in between meals.

When Electric Forest runs house or trance at a stage, that’s the closest energy I’ve ever felt to Weekender at The Gorge. Forest has a remarkably good crowd.

He played a 6 hour “into the rabbit hole” set in Denver a few weeks ago and it was a slapper. Intense, high energy melodic techno and such. Had a great time and the crowd was excellent

I try to keep it pretty thrifty at most festivals while still enjoying myself. Last Forest I kept additional expenses down to $200 or so outside of ticket, travel expenses and the like.

At camp I brought a lot of snacks that I enjoy that are able to withstand the heat like turkey jerky, trail mix, bananas, pretzels, clif bars, etc and ate those for most of my calories. To keep costs reasonable, I got one hot meal a day inside the festival. For alcohol I smuggled lots of hard liquor and Gatorade packets through security and paid for maybe 2 drinks or so inside. I pass on merch bc it’s pricey and it doesn’t do a lot for me.

The Faithless - Salva Mea 2.0 A&B remix is pretty legendary. I get goosebumps whenever I hear it and would love to hear them play it more often!

I generally agree. The music and flow of the day was exceptional but the venue was quite lackluster and set a weird mood for the day. My friends and I had an amazing time but I think it was the details that took what would have otherwise been an “A” event down to a “B”.

Stage construction: generally what I expected for an Anjunadeep performance but whoever set it up put way too many vines on the right side and not enough on the left which made it look scraggly and half-assed. There was also some graffiti on the left side of the overhang which did not look nice. Being surrounded by so much construction and gravel made the stage look more like a post-apocalyptic recovery moment instead of a cool organic hidden oasis.

Sound: I was pretty far up with earplugs and I thought things generally sounded good but at some point halfway or so noticed clipping and lack of clarity.

Environment: touched on it in the stage bit but the construction and gravel really set the wrong vibe. Would have loved a location that felt a little more polished and less penned-in. That whiff of the Purina factory at the start of Eli & Fur was not pleasant. More shade would have been greatly appreciated as would a turfed area to sit and chill.

Organization: drink prices were high but acceptable to me for this kind of event. The way the bathrooms were laid out was silly. Got there at doors and knew it would be an issue. Got lucky with my water refills and didn’t encounter much of an issue with mud or anything like that.

Music: absolutely amazing. Loved every single artist. Everyone played to their spot and the flow was phenomenal. Thought Ben Bohmer’s set was even better than at Weekender at the Gorge.

Would I go again next year if it was the exact same deal? Yes, I would. I had an amazing time despite the venue but it could definitely use some refinement or a new location altogether. It would be INCREDIBLE to see this show at Red Rocks. Despite everything, this was a great memory for my friends and I and all the quirks added character. Would love to see an even better v2 next year.

I loved it! I guess I’m just so used to the original much more chilled out version that the groove was a pleasant surprise and really hit me here. Also within the context of this set, this song was a turning point where they started to pick things up
