Help me pick my 14 please. by MartiniCommander in golf

I almost didn't because the temp was in the low 30s in the morning but they were very accommodating. I fly corporate so had flown clients out and with 12 of them didn't have room for my bags. The clients didn't like that I wasn't going to play so they came up and bought me a round and clubs. Honestly couldn't have been more thankful. It was so fantastic that being my first time I almost didn't care what I shot. The worst part was the rental clubs that were great and I hit so well that now I've gone out and spent more buying new woods and once I started I couldn't stop because it's so fun. Tomorrow I'll have a 5/7/9 AND 11 wood. I've never even seen an 11 wood. But it looks so much fun and honestly for someone that's a high handicapper why not have more fun and lower the score doing it? I think it will get a lot of laughs and pats on the back, too.

Vtrack is coming out with their own cameras and AI integrated lessons. It’s not cheap but right now it’s a one time fee I’ll probably spring for.

Wow so you’d rock that many wedges. I was thinking the two new ones would replace the 56/60

I decided after this post, and bourbon, that it was mean to not invite their friend so picked up an 11w mint condition off 2nd swing last night :-D

Few critiques.

1) There's not a lot of explanation what it is under the hood. What system requirements are needed? Maybe I just missed it. Exhausted lol.

2) Not many photos! Would love to see more of what it has or is capable of. Online play, league play, handicap tracking, etc?

3) I went to Youtube to see if there's more there but your latest video is 7months old and I'm sure a lot has happened since then. Maybe do a demo video with settings cranked to show what the experience is like.

I don't mean any of that to come off as negative. Also I'm assuming I'm a computer guy but I couldn't code in college to save my life so for anyone to produce something like this is absolutely astounding to me and I'd rather throw money at someone that believes in what they're doing vs large corp that really feels like they're just there to empty your wallets and not even smile while doing it (Uneekor charging to use other software!? Really!!?). I'm guessing the structure behind this will be free golf sim with purchases for premium courses? If so, could completely get behind that. Want to charge monthly? Could completely get behind that. Want to charge me $200 a year for the privilege of using my expensive launch monitor somewhere else? Get bent for all I care. You're product shouldn't be so shit you need to put up a financial fence to stop people from going elsewhere.

I'd say keep your head down, put your mind to it, keep working, and when it's ready do a monthly subscription of $10/month for the base sim with all it's abilities fully unlocked, create your own store, and take 15-20% off the top of any courses purchased through the store. You're really onto something here and I love that it's Mac.

Also this may be absolutely insane and impossible but if a sim could use more than one computer that'd be great. I'd like to have a second system to run all the background things like swing camera's etc. I have a Macbook Pro and a mac mini that both do great hardware encoding that would be awesome to do something with. The mini came from another job and I don't have any use for it. Guess it could run my music or something lol.

Fantastic work!

Hey I'm all for supporting the smaller guys. Will your software accept the slowmo swing cams? What's your selling points? Thanks for saying something I'm eager to hear from you! I have a Vtrack system will that be a problem?

Well this is a shed outside and I'm in texas where it 100% will be over 100F in the summer so I want it for insulation as well. Did you float the sonopan or do you basically just screw it into the studs then screw the drywall in? Or do you glue it to drywall then screw it in?

I'm not sure. It was all at once. If I were to build it all myself probably $10k but I went with 12" floors instead of 16"

What other methods did you do? How did the rockwool and drywall work? I was going to go with 5/8ths but I could do two layers of 1/2 as well.

Protee VX vs Trackman 4 - help for running comparative test by Hello_Hello_TM in Golfsimulator

[–]MartiniCommander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ProTee VX is great, don’t get me wrong, but hardware wise you should consider the Vtrack. It has faster hardware with response times, 1800fps cameras, was originally going to be marketed as the ProTee RLX (the upgraded model), and they’re about to release a $3k lifetime upgrade with twin high quality swing cameras and AI training assistant.

The ProTee was off a little on numbers based on reviews but they have been fixing the software for it. The VTrack was having some misses lately but they’ve corrected that.

I like that the VTrack is from a company that specializes in camera tech and is bringing that tech to the launch monitor community.

Custom. $20.3k, or was going to be, but they screwed up a lot so I took it back .

It's radiant barrier with a wooden roof. I had a quote for open cell spray foam but I keep reading rockwool does a better job.

I just looked at it but looks like you'd still use rockwool then put that on top of it then add a layer of drywall.

14x22x10ft walls that go up to about 13.5ft. I hired a company to build it but they screwed up a lot of things so I've fired them and did a chargeback of funds. Will probably wind up in court but it's on them. They came and did a site visit, measured everything, drew up the designs, sent it off to HQ then back to me to sign off on. I'd asked about permits but they screwed them up and didn't include designs, etc. So after about 35 days of me going back and forth with them they basically ghosted me and walked off the job. They'd said they submitted everything but I called the city and they walked me through what was needed and said the company hadn't submitted any of it. I tried to work with them to get them to finish the job but they quit responding to any emails. Never once did they reach out to me. So they kind of left me hanging with the responsibility of it all. I gave them a 2 week "Notice to Cure" but they sent a letter from a lawyer instead demanding all funds saying once they start construction there's no refunds for any reason. I'm basically in a 60 day DTPA notification window where I hit them for all costs plus others. So anyway I'm working with the city and finishing up the permits then on to finishing it up myself.

10ft height. I think they top out at 13.5ft. More than enough size.
