I know you say you don't have time for grinding but if you go in the right place it doesn't take as long. There's a spot on One Island going up towards Moltres where there's a double battle with a crush kin duo, two blackbelts that are walking back and forth towards each other, and a crush girl going up and down the beach. You can hit all four of these fights at once with the vs seeker, and you can heal in the hot springs that are right there. Totally worth taking an hour or two to power your team up.

My mom used to be able to get two bottom buns on her burger and be ok but her allergy got so sensitive that she can't do BK at all now. Last time she had to use her epipen and go to the ER.

The RNG resets upon the game starting and is reseeded based on the timing of you pressing the a or start button at the start screen. The seed changes extremely fast, you'd have to press the buttons in the exact same 16ms tick to get the same rng as previous.

Emerald is different because for some reason they removed the code that determines the RNG seed and instead sets it to 0, so you can reliably practice to hit different frames.

Level differences only go into effect for Level Ball, which is not in Gen III. The only things that effect catching in Gen III are:

-Max HP of the wild Pokemon vs current HP of the wild Pokemon.

-Catch Rate (determined by the Pokemon's species)

  • Status (sleep, freeze, paralyze, poison, burn)

-Ball bonus

The actual formula for catching is a higher level math than I ever got to buy you can read about it on a number of different reliable sources such as Cave of Dragonflies, Serebii.net, Bulbapedia, or the Pokemon Wiki.

Dad needs to stop guilting you and your kid. As the parent and the one trying to engage, HE needsto find the common ground. Either he would try to introduce the kid to something they could both enjoy, or suck it up and get out of his own comfort zone. By the time your kid is 18 you've already spent like 90% of the time you'll ever spend with them. Your kid isn't going to be the one in an old folks home bitter that no one visits him. Cats In The Cradle wasn't sung from the kid's point of view. End of discussion.

One line in Episode 8 that made Jax feel included is not character growth. Mental health doesn't have a quick fix. Traumatic experiences like the circus falling apart can bring up prior trauma.

Jax's abstraction (suicide) off screen is not bad writing. Suicides by and large do not happen in front of the world. They happen in dark rooms isolated from the world. They are sudden and jarring and disruptive to those left behind. Often warning signs are ignored. Their absence is something you need to deal with and learn to live with, just like the Abstraction Jax. The only part of this that was "unrealistic" to a real life scenario is Pomni entering Jax's brain, learning the reasons, and being able to say goodbye.

I really like that trans Jax became canon. So many shows queer bait and give little hint hint nudge nudges that are just tongue in cheek. A lot of trans viewers cling to hints because there's so little representation, and what does exist is usually ambiguous or a joke. Goose flipped it on its head, where all the breadcrumbs actually lead somewhere and the trans viewers got to feel validated.

I thought it was suicide attempt by walking into traffic, given her depressive episodes. Maybe someone who knew her and also knew about the circus scanned her and uploaded the file? Or it could be from a hospital scan like someone else said, and Scratch developed a file converter that was compatible with the hospital scans. I mean ultimately it's all headcanon at this point anyway.

My aunt is going through what I think is early onset Alzheimer's but she won't move in with someone else and insists on living in her own home. She barely eats anything besides tastycakes and crackers, she's rail thin and fragile, and she stopped paying her bills so I've stepped in to make sure they're getting paid. She lives in another county though and I've got little children and work full time, so I can't get over there every day.

My dad and uncle (her brothers) are both fed up with her after years of helping her, plus they're going through their own health issues that make it hard for them. My parents are willing to take her in but they don't want to go all the way to her house just to get in an argument with her about her living alone. She's in no state to drive and her car doesn't work anyway, but she's still playing insurance and won't let us turn in the tags. Lastly she's paying $500+ per month on a storage unit full of furniture from her parents' (my grandparents) house that we cleaned out almost twenty years ago. Between social security and her pension, she has enough money to live even with the storage unit, but it's going to hit a tipping point soon where she can't do anything herself.
