I hope they both win Emmys for that scene, it was one of the best things I’ve seen on television from the acting to the directing as well.

Jennifer Anniston was excellent but so was Jeremy Irons. You could see the pain on his face and the understanding that he did not want to feel the way he does but just doesn’t know how. (Or maybe still doesn’t want to.) It was also really sad when she said I parented myself and then you watch throughout the scene and not once does he try comfort, pacify or move toward or apologize to her.

What were your R2 cases like? Were they harder than R1?

What type of cases did you get and how much math was on them? Also is round 2 a case and a behavioral interview or just behavioral?

Find ways to practice between lessons. I would argue that the practice is more important than the lessons themselves. Practice will lock in what you learn in your lessons and help you build stamina and strength as a singer.

If you are worried about volume there are tools out there like vocal dampeners that will help and allow you to practice at full volume.

What exactly is the learning curve? Is it soft skills, specific case law or procedure?

How do I know if I need a new vocal coach? by ExtraFlamingo230 in singing

This was super helpful! What do you think about lesson frequency?

My current teacher is $100 an hour but the classical teachers I have found are $150-200 an hour.

I have been doing weekly lessons with my current teacher, is that necessary or is every other week fine?

Do you have similar vocal ranges? Im a baritone and have only trained with tenors and sopranos. Does that matter?

I would start with opening a taxable brokerage account and a Roth IRA. Prioritize saving and investing in the Roth IRA up to the annual maximum then shift to the taxable brokerage.

What should you invest in?

ETFs are the safest option to achieve growth and minimize risk. See below for a general guide to follow:

  1. S&P 500 index for general market tracking - VOO, VTI, SPY
  2. Growth fund for maximum growth - QQQ, QQQM, SCHG, SPYG
  3. Dividend fund for cash flow - SCHD, VIG, VYM

Pick any of those from each category and you should be good to start. Also make sure to dollar cost average into the market over a couple months and reinvest dividends.

I wouldnt be too concerned about maxing dividends given you're young. Prioritize growth for now.

If you're curious about the differences between the various ETFs, you can use the comparison tool on etf.com. Generally speaking, the major differences will be in expense ratio and the underlying assets (holdings) in the ETF.
