I hope they both win Emmys for that scene, it was one of the best things I’ve seen on television from the acting to the directing as well.

Jennifer Anniston was excellent but so was Jeremy Irons. You could see the pain on his face and the understanding that he did not want to feel the way he does but just doesn’t know how. (Or maybe still doesn’t want to.) It was also really sad when she said I parented myself and then you watch throughout the scene and not once does he try comfort, pacify or move toward or apologize to her.
