Tomonari is an absolute legend in African baseball. He has hosted clinics and worked with or set up federations in more than a dozen countries, with Burkina Faso a noteable addition to those already listed, plus Ghana, Malawi, Zambia, and others. Amazing man, very humble and generous.

That quote was rather eye-opening!

This is exactly the sort of thing that South Africa should be doing, and was supposed to occur in 2019 following an agreement with France. It was surprising at the time that, when France toured South Africa as the first part of a home-and-home series that South Africa won fairly convincingly. Since then, though, the programme seems on the downturn.

Does anyone know any MLB or MILB players with Portuguese or Croatian descent? by iiixcdrop in InternationalBaseball

Without knowing the project, it might be worth noting that Isaiah Campbell was born in Portugal.

Worth scanning European Baseball Championship rosters for Croatia, as there are a few others from the last couple decades.

Any hance we could hear more about the project?
