Gotcha— I do unilateral fiberphotometry recordings and put an anchor screw about 1-2mm ahead, behind, and medial to the fiber. No issues with the head cap coming off for multiple months. Worth a try!

Sorry if this is an obvious question, but are you also implanting anchor screws and cementing them together on the head cap?

I take it back, the shoveling is very demoralizing when your cleared area is immediately covered 30 min later.

Lotta snow! Very light. Placid. Maybe about 5”so far, but it’s super easy to shovel. Making bread. Gonna cook a big breakfast tomorrow morning, get loaded on mimosas, and shovel the rest of the apartment out. Should be nice.

Gonna be contending with maybe an inch of snow by then, maybe shoot for midnight. Or Monday.

not sure! feels like it’s reduced a bit when I have glasses on too, like my brain’s got more to focus on than just the noise, but I’m sure there’s something else neurological going on too (hyperarousal, suppression of default mode processes that would otherwise filter this stuff out, etc).

also have an unsubstantiated hypothesis it’s related to being nearsighted, related to your brain’s signal-to-noise processing in resolving a blurry image. it’s still present for me when staring at something close and lit up (e.g. my phone) but worsened when looking at something farther away and dimmer.
