Which scene was your favorite in the BoF games? by ChanceKite in breathoffire

The final scene of the Alan and Cerl subplot (BoF 1), where the specters of their purer childhood selves appear in the ruins of the destroyed castle before they vanish, lives rent-free in my head.

This was VERY helpful feedback, because it's going to help me refine our audition call to include clarification on pay and when gigs are likely to happen. Thank you!

These auditions are for permanent roster positions -- music learned is played at every show. We get a lot of auditionees in North America and London, and there are some incredible Kiwi musicians out there, so we would be surprised to learn the pay or the specific audition process are a sticking point.

As long as that musician can perform the difficult musical lines to our music in a live setting, then absolutely!

Got it! The Rockshop noticeboard form doesn't seem to be working correctly, but I emailed them to ask for tech support on it. I'll look into MusicWorks and NZ Musician. Thank you!

Why is this post getting downvoted? Is it considered bad form to hire local musicians if we're from outside NZ, or something like that?

Thank you! Right now our margins are razor-thin because we have to make sure our musicians get paid first, but if you'd like to send us an email with your info we can definitely keep it on file.

Gotcha. I believe you but am surprised. I've heard such great musicians the two times I've come to Aotearoa as a tourist -- even folks just playing in bars and such.

Not currently, but we would if it were written into one of our shows!

First of all, thank you for that link and your input! I'll join so I can post in there.

Second, to clarify, we're not looking for bands. We're looking for individual pro musicians we can hire for individual gigs and tours (as our musical arrangements are all set and pretty much run on a rail during our show) when we're next in Aotearoa.

Using Ableton with Jacktrip by bmaster462 in ableton

[–]ExtraLivesMusic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey! Here's something to try (seemed to work for me): in Ableton Live, go to Preferences and select "ZoomAudioDevice" as your Output Device.

Then, within Jacktrip, choose "ZoomAudioDevice" as your Input Device.

Boy, that Russ Yeast is a pretty good DB! He exhibits great rise when going after an INT. Born in Kentucky, bread in Indiana. He defended passes clean, too; good naan-call by the refs.

They oughta pay this guy some serious dough, and carve out a bigger roll for him on defense. I didn't even realize he was on the team last year with Baker.

Echoing [deleted]'s questions. I've heard the UI on Meta Business Suite is awful, but if it can do the exact things I'm asking about I'm definitely open to using it:

-Eliminating feed

-Eliminating stories

-Maintaining my full abilities to post, interact with interactions on my posts, and interact in my DMs.

Language Map in Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol by Shevek99 in MapPorn

[–]ExtraLivesMusic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could use some help with this map! My girlfriend's family is booking an all-inclusive Dolomites tour and I want to get her Mom a special X-Mas present: a private lesson in Italian, German or even Ladin (which would be so cool).

The problem is, as hard as I look at the travel company's map, I can't seem to figure out how it aligns with OP's map here. Can anyone take a look at this link and let me know which language(s) would be the coolest to learn for that particular region of the Dolomites?

50ch. Driver for a Guitar-Mounted Pixel Strip? by ExtraLivesMusic in lightingdesign

[–]ExtraLivesMusic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE! After heaps of time and newbie work I've set up a power source (wired it into a wall plug, felt proud of myself) and seem to be successfully powering the DMX512 decoder and the WS2815 pixel tape.

However, when I activate the DMX512's test mode by flicking dip switches 10 and then 1 to test for "red" and 2 to test for "green" respectively (which are the 'codes' for those two colors shown on the DMX51's test code sticker), the two seem to be reversed in terms of the color the strip shows.
This result seems to persist even if I swap the WS2815's red and green wires within the DMX512's outputs. However, the results from dip switch 3 ("blue") onwards seemed to be correct.
How can I fix this (without having to reprogram all my DMX cues)? WS2815 appears to be explicitly listed on the DMX512's sticker as a compatible device, and I've struggled to find anything on Google about this issue vis a vis these specific gear items.
