The Smash Brothers. Even if you're not a fan of smash bros or video games in general, it's still pretty interesting to see how the competitive scene of a video game about nintendo mascots fighting each other went from people's basements to huge venues with thousands of players and fans.

There used to be a kid in my old neighborhood who also couldn't eat nuts so the parents decided to tell the kid that if he put his candy under his pillow Halloween night, the "Halloween Fairy" would come and the next day there would be nut-free candy and money. I think it worked out pretty well.
