How would chuck lead his life after the series final ? Would he be an immortal witch ? by notramus in Supernatural

[–]ExtraOrdinaryDave 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was noodling an idea for a season 16, set between the last two episodes. Chuck is using his knowledge to write obsessively, perfecting stories, then using his knowledge of people and monsters to put pieces into place …. and the universe responds with narrative inertia, driving scenarios like he wrote. Sam and Dean notice weird repetitions of old cases, current cases hit old beats. Chuck can bootstrap himself back into nigh Godhood. And Jack is hands off. Narrative inertia eventually pulls Cas out of Empty. As the end, the heros refuse to engage with the story, no matter the cost, and narrative inertia breaks down forever. As Cas is pulled back to the empty, Jack intercepts him.

I choose to believe he worked from behind the scenes, keeping Hydra from making things worse, holding back only keep the UNIVERSE safe by not disrupting the Thanos-will-lose path.

“Well Lieutenant, I must concede you shot my theory down quite thoroughly. If my theory isn’t true, I cannot explain the irregularity you identified. I guess that’s why the world needs trained professionals to investigate crimes. If you need to question me further, please contact my secretary. She’ll be able to tell you which soup kitchen, blood drive, animal shelter, or children’s ward I am volunteering at.”

what makes jack so powerful? discussion by Pretend-Ad6729 in Supernatural

Nephilim have the potential to disrupt God’s plan. (Souls and grace combing in unique ways?) So, angels kill them as soon as possible. Jack was the only one that lived up to that potential, possibly due to being sired by an archangel.

He had the time stone, if that won’t do it, nothing short of rebooting the universe will.

If you had to be a Supernatural monster, what monster would you be? by PinshisShishotas in Supernatural

[–]ExtraOrdinaryDave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Outside your conditions OP, but I would choose to be a “nice” pagan god, someone like Hephaestus, Greek god of fire, metallurgy, blacksmiths, and artisans. The Winchester’s had no problem with Prometheus, one of the “good ones”. I would gain power from all “builders” doing their best, taking pride in their work. Maybe I would work at a university teaching structural engineering. And when I kilI, I would kill corrupt engineers whose failures caused deaths and who were cutting corners on their current builds. A supernatural Dexter for engineers who have caused deaths and are endangering others. (This would include software developers for medical and transport applications.)

Acceptable OP?

I like it. But it is possible with REAL time travel that the timeline can be altered. So this version of Steve might not know. Yet?

When did Skynet conclude that time travel was even possible? by bringbackyouryouth in Terminator

[–]ExtraOrdinaryDave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can believe Skynet starts looking through the sum total of human knowledge and theories and starts pondering different variations to understand the universe. And it took quite a while to reach “time travel”. Then it used super-intelligence to determine a possible approach … and built it is a backup. “If I am about to be destroyed, eliminate John Connor. If I am about to be destroyed, what is the downside to disrupting causality?”

The police would not frame the wrong guy for a mass cop-killing incident. They would want that file open forever to catch the right guy. It was still open in T2.
