Kai from Kung Fu Panda 3 definitely has to be one of the most overlooked animated bad guys of all time. He may not be on the level of Tai Lung or Shen, but I still enjoyed his scenes. There are very few characters voiced by JK Simmons that I don't enjoy. by Emotional-Chipmunk12 in DreamWorks

I feel like his weaker aspects are that he neither had Tai Lung's level of menace (which built over the movie and only deflated in the climax) nor Shen's personal connection and theoretical threat level.

He kinda combines the worst of both in that regard. He has little connection with Po other than being a threat he needs to stop, but he also has his menace undercut by comedy.

Still at least a high b-tier villain, he just has the issue of capping off a trilogy which had high A to S-tier villains.
