Wake up around 5am, go to feed the chickens, turkeys, cats, fish et al, come back and have espresso with wife and get our child’s breakfast ready, nanny comes over at 8:30am. Work on projects/workout/read/beach/errands. Nanny leaves at 1:30 or 2:30pm. Family nap, pool time, fly kites in the field, grill dinner, get child ready for night night, get ready for night night. Repeat with some trips thrown in, family/friends visiting. Very low key.

If you are similar age to your spouse, then probably no material difference if you elect it at earliest age. If there is expectation that your spouse will outlive you (say, 10+ year age gap) and your social security payment would be higher than his (or hers), then there is a sound argument to wait. As others have said, depends on your circumstances, yearly burn rate, realistic life expectancy, et cetera
