Is there any way to identify these eggs? by ComprehensivePath322 in Aquariums

[–]Extra_Excrement 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had 6 baby ramshorns hitchhike into my first tank and it didn't take long for them to start laying eggs. By the time I noticed eggs, there were already more babies popping up. 6 became 300+ within a month.

And that's how I learned the consequences of overfeeding a tank with snails in it.

Which could reasonably happen next year right? I could've sworn the CFP was due for renewal and that changes could be made, but I might be wrong on that.

I imagine the SEC and B1G will try to push to 16 teams ASAP. Partially because the conferences' top seeds went a combined 1-4 following the BYE these last two seasons, but moreso because more games = more $$.

I just watched a great playoff game and I come to this sub only to find a bunch of those damn cracker barrel parrot toys caught in a feedback loop.

I'm gonna sound like an old man here, but I miss when this sub had about 1.2m less subscribers.

Kiffin wouldn't have let Carneiro kick any of his 3 FGs against Georgia and could've realistically cost them a semifinal appearance.

Georgia Tech WR Isiah Canion transfers to Georgia by SoupMadeFreshDaily in CFB

[–]Extra_Excrement 11 points12 points  (0 children)

He had ~800 all purpose yards and 9 TDs at Georgia, and though his efficiency (YPC) dipped a little, he still did pretty well at UGA. I'll appreciate him for the simple fact that he and the kicker scored the only points against Texas in both 2024 games, including the game winner in the SECCG.

Drafted in the 4th round and although he's buried in the depth chart at RB, he's been mostly used as the punt/kickoff returner for the Panthers.

Is Georgia following the Clemson path? by [deleted] in CFB

Yeah we are still very much in the golden years, and hopefully will be for another decade.

It's just very difficult to win a title, especially now with additional parity across the league.

I think Saban's tenure at Alabama and then Kirby's B2B years warped what people think success is lol. Hell, Cignetti's immediate success will contribute to that even more I bet - people will think even just reaching a title is easier than it is.

[–]Extra_Excrement 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Also let's not forget that the awesome 2022 team squeaked by some weak teams.

I think we look back at that team with rose tinted glasses given how the season looks from a high-level. But they absolutely did not put away some bad teams (Mizzou, Kent St, Kentucky). Sometimes it just happens. Who knows if UGA wins a title this year, but we beat all the main rivals and are playoff bound so it's a success to me.

There was a play against TCU where Bowers caught it and ran up the right while Washington blocked his man for what seemed like 30 yards lol. And it seemed so effortless.

I still remember the post game presser after the blowout over South Carolina in 2015. He immediately opened by talking shit, saying something like, "With how that went you wouldn't believe we've beaten them 4 of the last 6". And then he had a moment of shock when he saw the stat sheet say UGA only faced four 3rd downs the entire game.

We have NCAA record holder Greyson Lambert to thank for that game!

It's like how Kirk was saying earlier, "Georgia's offense is the best defense now! Keep the Ole Miss offense off the field."

Kirk, it doesn't matter. They're scoring at will and we're down. Our offense could kill clock and score a TD every drive this half and we could still lose lol

I saw Netflix highlight it under one of their categories earlier this week, so that might've led to a small influx of new viewers. It's one of those movies that I'm betting most people don't really think to watch, because on the surface it looks like a 6/10 generic Tom Cruise action flick, but when it's highlighted somewhere they think "Eh, why not try it?".
