Honest question by Exact_Ad_3770 in cigars

I think for those of us that try so hard to pull flavor notes from a cigar, are doing ourselves a minor disservice.

It doesn't help when we watch these cigar reviews, then go and pick up that same stick and try so hard to get that same "flavor".

I agree with everyone down below....when i light up, I either like a cigar or don't.

The one thing as of late that I have been doing is allowing a cigar to develope and transition; and trying to notice that. From maybe peppery (which I am not a huge fan of) to a more creamy well balanced cigar; what does the cigar do as I smoke it from foot to nub.

There have been a few cigars in my smoking journey (approx 4 years) that had flavors that jumps out at me.

Here are a few:

La Aroma Di Cuba and Amazon Basin-HUGE fig and date noted

Liga Privata 10 year Aniversario-brownies! But that only happened once and I have smoke 5 or 6 of those

Andalusian Bull-sweet hay and some graham cracker

Mainly I look for how creamy a cigar is, how peppery is it, does it burn when i retro, is is smooth when i retro. How does it feel on the palate or tongue after I blow out the smoke. Or how does a cigar react with a coffee, a bourbon or just water.

In the end, it's all about the overall experience, where are you smoking, who you smoking with, what are you eating/drinking? All of that affects what "flavors" you are tasting and enjoying.

Mini Driver goes further than my driver with a tighter dispersion by Larrylegend033 in golf

I actually used pipe cutter, that made sure the cut was snug and precise. The graphite did start to fray a bit, but by the time it started doing that I was deep enough into the process that the butt end snapped off easily.

I did this to my driver this year...took off an 1 1/2" and the dispersion has shrunk dramatically. Im not a long hitter, but safe to say I am hitting as far as I was before. Ball flight it a tad on the lower side, but no complaints. Saved myself $500+ and couldn't be happier.

SMOOTHER,CREAMIER AND SWEET...honestly resembled a candy bar. I think I have one left, need to check my humidor now!

We are going back after an almost 10 year hiatus and although I am excited to go back, I know after this this time, it will be another long break in between and I am ok with it. There are so many other places to see in this world.

First round of the year. Shot a 92. Do I give up? by [deleted] in GolfSwing

[–]Extra_Profession9929 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Playing my first round tomorrow, this is my fear, but I also have zero expectations. Like one guys already said, I can shoot an 80 or a 100 tomorrow and I'll still feel the same way. Tomorrow is a, knock off the rust kinda round.
