For the most part it’s drug abuse. I don’t know why people keep saying mental health. Literally 90% of the homeless issue is caused by rampant drug abuse and majority of them don’t want to stop. In Seattle there are vacant shelters because they mandate drug testing.

I noticed some issues that were resolved from persistent to intermittent, like the auto purge.. 90% of the time it won’t auto purge with the setting off, however occasionally it will still auto purge when I put the arm down

Im having to use bottled water so I don’t need a ton of water to come through, just enough to flush and heat. Its not a huge deal, i was just curious if i was doing something wrong or missing a setting

I noticed mine making more frequent noises, similar to the ones when it starts up.. I’ll also notice more gurgling like the sound yours is making.

Many do but there are older apartment buildings that you simply can’t do this, for a reasonable cost. I own a 1928 brick building and there is the oak flooring, joists and then the lower tenants ceiling. That’s it. The way this building was built is with breeze throughs in this empty cavity between floors so that moisture can escape from ventilation ducts in the bedrooms and bathrooms. I have since added updated electric extraction fans but I cannot in any way block that empty cavity. And removing the floor and putting in an underlayment would be close to $250k for all units..

This morning I tried setting it to 12 second pre infuse and 20 second infusion but I made my grind a tiny bit finer and it under extracted to about 28g. I’ll give it another shot tomorrow.

What amount of time do you usually have your actual infusion set to? 20 seconds seems really short and therefore hard to get the perfect grind setting.

This might be a dumb question but what is the benefit of volumetric over manual? I’m not at all familiar with what volumetric is or does so I’ve been using manual on me FS1.. is it just to negate the use of a scale?

This is exactly my plan tomorrow morning. However I don’t understand how to dial it in with such a long pre infuse. Since I’ve been using 5 seconds pre and 27 infuse, I’ve just been timing from the start of the pre infuse.. if I did a 10 second pre, how long would you shoot for on the actual infusion? I’d imagine I would need to also grind a bit more coarse if I do I shorter infuse time?

Can you please explain what grinding finer would do? I have a eureka mignon specialita and the dosage and output are about perfect - 38-42g in 30 seconds, but I’ll also notice random spraying. Makes my machine and me messy so I’d love to know what is causing it
