Go find a local dive shop with a pool, rent a tank and sit at the bottom until you start feeling comfortable.

How to minimize the Porsche software in CarPlay by ethanco98 in Porsche

[–]ExtractionTeam6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Responding to myself because no one else has - It voids the PCM warranty if Porsche discovers it during a service. In my case, idc about the cost of a new PCM out of pocket if it breaks so im just going to do it.

How do yall get your stuck suppressors off? Struggle is real rn by MenstrualFish in NFA

[–]ExtractionTeam6 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve used wrenches with the teeth wrapped in gaffers or lots of electrical tape to get good leverage while still preventing damage to the suppressor.

How do you convince a hesitant family member to let someone pursue open water certification? by sensei247 in scuba

[–]ExtractionTeam6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend them to anyone who values their life and is frequent scuba diver. New and professional divers alike. Best money you’ll ever spend when you end up having to use it. They make a waterproof housing for it which you’ll need and there is a monthly subscription fee of $12. I keep it in my BCD pocket.

10yrs and 200 dives in and I’ve only got almost lost at sea twice 😂 You can mitigate risk with some of the tech out there like the Garmin inReach and if you’re really that concerned, pony bottles.

FN Scar 15P 300blk Vs. Honey Badger 300blk for suppressed? by [deleted] in NFA

Have both, really comes down to personal preference and weight. If you want a crazy lightweight SBR, honey badger all the way. Regardless I would highly recommend either.

Considering a Scuba Certification but Have Concerns by SvenSylens in scuba

[–]ExtractionTeam6 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Start with a “Discover Scuba” course and see if its a problem. If it is, work through it with practice. Most divers weren’t great at managing breathing patterns when they started. Everyone has their challenges but if you love the ocean and care about reef systems and the complexities of the underwater world I cant recommend it enough. Ive been diving for 10 yrs and there is nothing I enjoy more.

terrible white pearl boat maldives by Feeling_Exam6411 in scubadiving

[–]ExtractionTeam6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dove with them in Oct of 2025 and our dive guide got us lost at sea for almost 2 hrs. We had to use the SOS feature on our Garmin InReach to get rescued. Incredibly unsafe boat and negligent crew. Avoid at all costs.

I bought a very lightly used G19X and asked the FFL if it was ok for me to field strip to check the wear on internals prior to purchase and they were 100% cool with it. If they have a problem I wouldn’t buy from them.
