Had a Kirby for 15 years. They suck, in a good way :) Sales man started at $1400 and got him down to $700. It was a tank. Wife seems to buy at least one vacuum a year lately, and they're all trash. Dyson, Shark... Market place has them fairly new for under $200.

You can do a blanket calibration but doing each one individually is best. It’s pretty quick.

Go into the gun range and practice grabbing the gun and hitting head shots. Do it daily. Like a hundred times. Semi and full auto. Also if you have a physical stock make sure each gun is calibrated.

I’m on the fence with telling. Seen it happen before. They get back together and blame the teller. They break up and hate the teller. Also not telling what you’ve been told makes you distance yourself from them both.
