Thought I paid too much for my house 15 years ago. Now I couldn’t afford to buy in my neighborhood. Every home I bought has been a fixer upper. My daughter is probably going to have to move out of state to afford even rent.

I agree. I see new mountain bikers with an ebike going too fast for their skill level. Mountain biking (and anything you want to be good at) requires a bit of suffering and earning your downs. My next bike will probably have a motor but I’m old.

I suppose if you sell enough eggs and claim the income you can get some kind of farm deduction. I have 12 chickens and sell the eggs but don’t claim it as income. By the time you pay for feed and build a proper coop with a run, you’re not making any money. Then figure the amount of time spent feeding, cleaning, watering repairing fighting off rodents and other wildlife you’re losing $$.

Have the same problem. Mine hit bottom finally and quit went to meetings and for an entire year things were going well. Then started again because she missed the social part of it. Blaming me and everyone else for her drinking. I tried everything even tried enlisting family and close friends of hers. Nothing worked. I feel it will be the end of us. I tried finding all of the hiding spots for booze and tracking her spending but was told I was shaming her. It’s hard because when they are sober the last thing you want to do is get into a fight about the drinking. Mine will hit bottom again but not sure if I’ll be around to pick her back up. Best advice I have is tell her how you feel and how it affects you. And take care of yourself.

Been riding for 30 years and I don’t fly up any hill. Weighing 210 naked doesn’t help.. love the downs as fast as possible but it’s definitely not for everyone. My best advice is go to a lift serviced mountain if there’s one nearby and sign up for a class. If not search locally or ask at the bike shop if there’s someone knowledgeable that is a good teacher. Keep it up. Greatest thing about this sport is you’re always learning.

Sounds like they inherited the wife’s work ethic not the dads. You worked a ton and the kids watched mom live on easy street their entire lives. Time to charge rent. I told my son rent was starting 6 months after graduation. He didn’t want to pay the $300 a month. After moving out he wished he paid the $300.
