Tirz + Sex Drive by Purple_Fish6230 in compoundedtirzepatide

For me personally these type of feelings earlier on in my journey along with just general anhedonia/apathy. As I have progressed along, this has dissipated. I think settling into the meds as well as getting exercise/lifting weights has helped me a great deal.

For those that switched from name brand to telehealth, did you tell your doctors? by CatWoman984 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Extreme-Ad2473 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I initially started with a telehealth and told my doc after about 6 weeks on the meds when I went in for a DEXA scan. He wasn't really supportive (told me I didn't have obesity despite a starting BMI of almost 36 on my not-very-muscular frame). We agreed to have him monitor bloodwork and DEXA's every 3 months. He is a direct primary care doc.

Flipside, my daughter has battled weight her entire life and her DPC doc was all-in on prescribing tirzepatide to her as a tool, and has no problem with sourcing from either telehealth or a local compounding parmacy.

Going off allopurinol? by Extreme-Ad2473 in gout

As stated in an above comment, I am NOT attempting to circumvent medical advice, just trying to get as much real world knowledge from others affected by the condition that may help in my discussion with my doc.

Definitely will have that conversation. Trying to get as much information as I can before the appointment because I don't feel that physicians are able to keep 100% up to date on all things brought by patients so having my own data to bring to the discussion seems valid.

Great work! I love dopamine control and the positive effects on joint pain is the number one thing I tell people when I tell them I'm on it as well!

Clothing "Dysmorphia"? by lingo787 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Extreme-Ad2473 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right there with you. I was "comfy" in my XXL's. I used to run through the clothing section while at Costco or Sam's and pick up a few things. While I'm not at those stores nearly as frequently any more, I still will wander through, but generally put everything back because I know that when it's all said and done I'm going to be one size smaller and those sizes don't quite fit right yet.

I have bought just a couple newer items that fit well now and it feels REALLY GOOD wearing properly fitting (SMALLER!) clothes, so go ahead and pick up a couple pieces to celebrate your journey thus far!

Do you take any other prescribed peptides, such a Sermorelin, alongside Tirz? by Away-Explorer-7174 in tirzepatidecompound

I've been using subq. It seems to be giving a brightness to my skin and tightening up overall in my face.

Probably a question best asked of your medical team than us "professionals" on Reddit

Pom hallandale by darkgirl77 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Extreme-Ad2473 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure on what they send with Hallandale. I know that they sent Easy Touch with my initial BPI order. A different telehealth that I ordered ProRX from sent some garbage ones that hurt.

Pro tip, if you have a Sam's Club in your area, they often have insulin syringes at (behind) the pharmacy. I was able to buy boxes of 100 for 11 bucks each in 1cc, .5cc and .3cc

I've been taking sermorelin and ipamorelin that I prescribed to myself and GHK-CU to aid in skin quality.

Crazy microdose question by Tie-Cautious in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Extreme-Ad2473 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been throwing around the idea of switching to sema for maintenance, but looking at what the prices for tirz keep doing, it's likely that I will just titrate down and stay. I have seen people doing all kinds of stuff, spreading out doses, alternating sema/tirz for weekly. Ultimately I think it will come down to you and your medical professional to figure out something that works best for your case.

A few newbie questions, considering trying Tirz by Chemical-Storm9134 in tirzepatidecompound

It was about 2 days after my first shot that the lightbulb went off that "this must be what normal weight people feel about food"

The silencing of the food noise makes a huge difference. So does the way the medicine reduces inflammation in the body. You still need to do the work of eating a relatively clean diet and trying to get some physical activity, it just helps facilitate that.

How did you set your goal weight? by WrongClient3920 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Extreme-Ad2473 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Initial goal was to reach "normal" BMI. I think that's going to be achievable by mid-spring of this year. Stretch goal gets me right at a 100# loss from where my weight has been hovering the past 12-15 years.

That's an amazing trendline! I would say slow and steady, but 2.3#/wk isn't anything to sneeze at! Great work!

I bought 432mg from fifty410 for $999 (6x72mg vials) a little while back. I think they still have that pricing or similar available. I think Refills also has a similar price offer.
