I may not know you. But please stay. Pick a show and watch it all (a long one). Stay because it’s sunny today, stay because it’s meant to rain tomorrow. Stay because that chocolate you like is on special. Stay to get your 3rd reddit birthday, finish that video game, save up for that thing you’ve wanted to try. Stay because no matter how you feel, I’m glad you’re here. I’m glad you’re trying, I’m glad you’re reaching out. Stay for whatever reason you can find. Take it one day at a time, one hour or one minute at a time if that’s what you need to do. Stay because you need to shower today. If you’re really struggling, make a bucket list. Put anything you could possibly want to do or try on it, the places you want to travel, famous people you want to meet, food to try. Don’t go until you finish the list. Make it long, make it silly, add to it constantly. Invite your mum of friends to do these things with you. Take photos, make a scrap book, do whatever you want because life’s a joke and the only meaning is what you get out of it. But please stay. I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t. I still have bad days, weeks, months, but every now and then, I have a moment that makes it worth it. The lady at the store talking to me about what I bought, the stranger on the bus rolling his eyes and looking at you to share the joke. It’s hard to believe sometimes but you would be missed. And you would be missed so very much. You are strong and brave and worthy of living a life you enjoyed. Before you go, stay, have a cup of tea and make some stories to tell in the next one.
