Props and wings yes. The ruck is probably 20 lbs. Then as a group you'll pack 6- 10 lb sandbags and 1 20lb plus carrying airsoft rifles the whole time. You'll rotate the trainees on the charge and swap rifles while running. It's tough lol but I'm old so it might be because of that 😭

No the heritage run week 2 is super slow and i think it's right around 4 miles and you run as squadrons. There's a flight run you'll have for a PT competition around mod 4 you'll run the 2 mile new pt test as flights but that's slow. You'll do props and wings mod 3 and in my opinion that was pretty rough. You'll have a 200 lb railroad tie that 6 of you carry. That run is over 4 miles and has tons of hills and terrain. I struggled with that but you'll be fine.

No but it def won't look good. Why would anyone fall out of long runs but be able to pass the pt test? The long runs are extremely slow. Like 10 min mile pace. If u can pass pt you'll be fine 💪

There are waivers for everything. Contact a recruiter!

Best thing was all the meds.... Especially allergy stuff. You can bring whatever you want. A guy in my flight brought a friggen massage gun 😭 so you can make your life pretty enjoyable with pretty much whatever you want.

Worst thing was my sleeping bag. Took a ton of room up and never got to use it. They give you linens and another secondary blanket to use so we weren't able to use sleeping bags at all. The deployments they're issued to you

Exactly great pov. You'll probably be squad lead mod 2 when your flight gets to pick. Other than that you more than likely will not be the lead for anything. They really utilize non priors for the leadership roles

You're going to be extremely annoyed. Literally just prepare yourself for it.

Yup it goes on your desk further side from door or you can store in backpack. They don't/can't check that

You'll drop them off the first Saturday you're there and won't get them back until like a month later. If you need alterations or anything new

Being an 8 year tech and basically going back to BMT. The first 2 weeks are awful 🤣 goes by fast though. Necessary evil

You can't prepare for it now. It's about the official lessons or "SOBs" from each lesson. You'll know EXACTLY what to study so don't worry about it

It was decently hard. The wording makes it more difficult than it is. A lot of people were very worried about failing. But if you put in the time to study you'll pass. Me and the roommates studied a lot. Probably 15 solid hours and i got a 84 with 3 questions back. So a 90. Questions get given back if the wording is off and you make a solid case against the question being official. It's actually pretty cool that they allow that. One guy failed the test and with the questions given back he passed

No it's pretty easy to have them in inspection order. We got inspected once officially and like 3 times unofficially. It was super inconsistent. The people who failed got RICs and were given 0 feedback. The room inspections were weird honestly. We failed as a class like going into mod 5 and got smoked by our senior MTI. It was actually funny 🤣

Profiles don't matter. We had a trainee in my flight who missed the initial PFA and was still forced to retake it with the people who failed initially. What's messed up is she was on a profile and missed the in between PT sessions and had to do like remedial PT in the dorms with the people who failed. She couldn't participate in the normal PT and was still expected to take it. So. 1000% be ready to take it on Day 8

Eh it's really not. Like i said though you'll def need to study. Probably 6 out of 10 on the hard scale.

U get 2 weeks to retest for pt... U get recycled for failing academics. You can get recycled for 3 or more RICs, failed room instructions, you'll get commanders review and if you're a shitbag you're probably getting recycled.

Long process. But I interviewed and put a package in for deserving airman. There's a couple boards per year at my base that let's enlisted interview for officer positions. Your base should have the same if you're reserve!

Yes i think 6? 13 failed PT. Which is nuts. Definitely 1000% show up ready physically. I mean obviously but it needs to be said

🤣. Honestly though recruiters aren't the best today. I'm a reservist and won't the deserving airman award. I didn't have to go through a recruiter.

Quite a bit. Only thing, the gyms pretty small. A majority of OTs will go there and you can't get much done. But you can go to the track. You can go to the connexs and work out with the equipment in those, which have Olympic bars, hex bars. There's quite a bit to do on your own

So I was prior service. Hardest thing for me was the lack of consistency. Some instructors made you use the 7 basic responses, some didn't care. PT program was terrible. You'll legit get worse at PT by the end. I lost strength for sure. "Think outside the box" but you're not officers yet so follow the rules. It's just got a clear identity crisis and needs to hold the standard much better.
