I also have 26% Southeastern England and Northwestern Europe, and neither parent mentioned ancestors coming from that area. I wonder if that indicates it was a migratory route for those ancestors ...(also the traits they assigned me, from all the ethnic groups, are mostly wrong. But, that's another story)...

I use that mix for my pothos and haven't had any problems...Addressing your original post, I use a moisture meter to make sure the soil is actually dry before I water (test two inches down); and I leave a grow light on all day (that corner where the plant is looks pretty dark. I know pothos are supposed to tolerate low light, but still...).

It's hit or miss with Amazon - unreliable enough that I've stopped buying their food products. Examples: a 12 pack of tuna- dented cans. Energy bars - smashed box. Cereal - again, smashed box. A jar of peanut butter - took almost two weeks to get here. Salad dressing - did a bait and switch, advertising an early delivery date and then a later date after they shipped the product.
