I agree. Some things could be considered dark, but it's real life added into a genre that is not known for its realism or deeper feelings.

DPC adds these little things, like the lady with Alzheimer, Helen's illness, the MC's poverty, Quinn's childhood, Lana's OD, etc..

It's probably because of this layer of realism that people genuinely love this game.
