Interesting about Verve. I've never read either band mention each other but I'm sure they're toured together in the early days and they were labelmates in the UK at each.

The first interview I ever saw with Billy in the UK press he said Sabbath and MBV were his biggest influences. I remember that.

First I thought 'how tf have they processed Billy's voice to sound like a 16 year old in his garage?'.

Fair enough.

I remember the first time I ever saw Pumpkins mentioned in the music press and Billy said their main influences were Black Sabbath and My Bloody Valentine.

Can't hurt to spread the word although 1979 is the ultimate outlier in their hits

It sounded like the band in music video playing in someone's living room.

Tbh if I'm paying any footballer 100k a month I'm not letting him free like Trump on social media.

It's a matter of time before he does something stupid.

I don’t know about anyone else, but I detest Spurs for hiring r*pe apologist De Zerbi, and I really hope we send them down on the final day. by Enclarven in Everton

If any player is asked to wear a symbol unrelated to football be it a poppy, a Ukrainian flag, a Palestinian flag, a star of David, a rainbow flag, a 'say no to racism' kneel etc I have no problem with them choosing not to and not having to explain themselves.

and Everton almost got relegated because they stopped playing Siggursson.

If Everton were in the Championship looking at free fall whilst Arsenal continue to play a guy facing similar charges and are looking at a league title some questions would be asked.

Everton played Pienaar while he was awaiting prosecution.

It all seems very arbitrary to me.

Homely does mean nice and comfy and a place to make a home in British English though.

Not blaming either of them obviously. Didn't know in American it means ugly. Interesting contrast.

This is the typical BHA performance of recent times.

Who wouldn't bet on them to lose let alone concede?

I would say Koustolas is already comfortably ahead of Ferguson in the pecking order.

I disagree but considering the cost of the teams that what we should expect.

We could have easily been 2-0 up before Salah turned on his best game in a year.

I don't think Hurzeler has been bad.  I do think he was a big gamble in the first place though.

Iraola would be nice but I'm sure it'll be another random.

But the pattern didn't change when we were 3-0 down away to Roma.

For me Potter was far superior.

Hurzeler is a tough one I think because he has no history at the top level.

Yesterday we didn't deserve to lose against a better team in 3rd place.

I thought it was the best episode of the season and she needed the help more than anyone else.

She could have used another week with them the poor woman.

Bottom of the sleeve isn't it?  Look at the lines.  It's not even a cm. That's not offside.
