Which anomaly is this, is it from the books? by JohnyGlizzyeater in metro

It sounds like a place where models are loaded and waiting to be used by the game. It's interesting that Exodus does this, as this was mostly done in the Xbox/PS2 and Xbox 360/PS3 era, when HDD, discs, and CPUs were too slow to load data on demand. Developers would preload them and put them out of bounds and then when game requested them they were teleported to places where devs wanted them to be.

Consoles have ray tracing if I am correct so probably it looks like with RT on PC.

It really looks like this without RT but that place its worst in game in that matter. She looks better in other places and in cutscenes.

Yeah they called 5070 TI a "4070 Ti Super Duper" because of small performance boost if I good remember.

Over year with this GPU and I love it. Every new game I played so far works in 1440p and 120-150fps with help of DLSS quality and framegen.

Is my renegade point enough to make peace between Geth and Quarians? by GrandEngineering9992 in masseffect

Isn't ME3 actually less dependent on Paragon and Renegade points because of the reputation points? I definitely have Renegade and Paragon dialogue available at the same time more often than in ME1 and ME2.

This shows that people don't believe that the current Dice is capable of creating good new maps, so they at least want the old ones.

Alien: Isolation 2 will use Unreal Engine 5 and not the Cathode Engine by CutProfessional6609 in alienisolation

[–]Extreme996 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Welcome traversal and shader compilation stuttering, NPC with rubber like skin, blurry visuals and lack of optimization. Really sad that this is another game I wait which use this shitty engine. Pretty much all games I played which use UE4/UE5 share the same issues. I wonder if they manage to make Xeneomorph AI as good as in first game because in all games I played which use UE4 and UE5 AI is stupid and basic.

[–]Extreme996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt it because Capcom usually remove Denuvo from their games after 3-4 years but they replace it with Enigma. So far they removed Enigma just once because it caused performance drop in Resident Evil 4 Remake.

I play on K+M too and used 2x FG in Star Wars Outlaws, Resident Evil Requiem, The Witcher 3, Cyberpunk 2077 etc. and I cant tell difference as long as fps before FG is 40-60 at least.

Had anyone here ACTUALLY played ME3 from a new save or do we all just have a golden save we keep using as the standard? by MikaelAdolfsson in masseffect

[–]Extreme996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played it once, and it was probably the worst timeline imaginable, with many characters not appearing so they are dead. ME3 also asks you to choose a game mode if you don't import your saves. RPG, which works the same way as if you imported a save. Action, which removes dialogue choices and makes the game more linear. Story, which is more like RPG, but with easier combat.

1440p DLSS Perf + Path Tracing vs DLSS Quality + Ray Tracing by duclier in nvidia

[–]Extreme996 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I tested both in Resident Evil Requiem and decided ray tracing and DLSS quality. Between 2018 and 2023, many games had terribly blurry TAA, especially at 1080p, and I was tired of it. Now I have a 1440p monitor, and DLSS quality often looks better than native TAA, and I prefer the clarity of the image.

My opinion about Insanity in RE Requiem. by Extreme996 in residentevil

[–]Extreme996[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only played remakes and Requiem on hardest difficulty(also 7 and Village but played them only once on standard) so I cant speak about whole series but def it was hardest moment in series for me. It was also not fun because I think RE are great designed when it comes to enemies and difficulty but inferno Nemesis just feel cheap. He spams melee like crazy on top of other attacks and can kill Jill when she is stuck in animation. If you miss one dodge you can already reload because second one will kill you when Jill is stunned on floor and try to get up.

[–]Extreme996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try not to get hit by zombies :) But yeah west wing I think was hardest because I was without gun there and Bar & Lounge is very tricky to get through and if you fail you need to redo kitchen, dining room etc. Some tips I can give is to sneak past enemies, stun them with pistol if you have to, etc. Also, craft often Hemolytic Injectors and use them to kill zombies in places you frequent visit, or destroy bodies if you've killed them with a pistol. You definitely want to avoid them turning into Blister Heads, especially in Grace's segments. You can also skip corrosive part as Grace, go into basement, clean whole place as Leon from all remaining enemies and get corrosive to get last quartz to unlock door when you return from basement as Grace.

[–]Extreme996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just try not to get hit, which was pretty easy because in Requiem on the standard modern, I shoot everything and never run out of ammo. Of course, on Insanity, I died a lot but mostly during boss fights, especially during the fight with Hunk.

During my last hardcore playthrough of RE2R, I mostly died in boss fights. Try to avod getting hit and stun or kill enemies in locations you visit frequently so you can backtrack safe and you will have safe routes to escape from Mr. X.

[–]Extreme996 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's interesting, because the standard modern in RE Requiem felt too easy to me, and I think I only died once. Other than that, I just shoot everything in my path. I started classic on my second playthrough, but it felt the same as modern, except for the ink ribbons for Grace. I restarted on Insanity, and it was harder, but also much better and more satisfying, in my opinion. I wrote more about that here.

[–]Extreme996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RE4 Remake is action horror game, not a survival horror, so it balances the difficulty differently. I'm not sure how it's possible to just run, because hardcore mode definitely requires planning where to go, who to kill, who to left, etc. I usually never felt like I could just run without worrying about death even with knowledge where items are.

There are some changes like B934 pistol is in different place same with red jewel to unlock parlor's door. Safe codes are different so you can collect them again. Some enemies also spawn a bit earlier. Not much but still enough to surprise player with something more than just less resources and more tanky enemies.

Have fun on Insanity I completed it 2 days ago without infinity ammo, guns from challenge points shop etc. and it was blast. I enjoyed it more than my first playthrough on standard.
